Recent Dominical Reviews

Overall, great experience

4 of 5
All of the staff were outstanding. The house is in a great location. Dominical is a small town, and we enjoyed that but it is close enough to all the major attractions. The house is huge and the pool is awesome. However, there are a few things that need to be improved to earn a 5 star rating. It rained very hard on our first night and the roof leaked and I don't mean just a little. We had inches of water in the kitchen and living room. The house just needs some repairs and touch ups. Every room had something broken. Little things like lights not working, hot tub not working, half the burners broken on the grill, etc. I believe the owner had plans to fix all these things. We stayed in January and I see the reviews for February don't list any complaints. Maybe they already fixed everything So in summary, I would recommend the house. The owner and staff are very trustworthy. As an example, my father dropped his wallet in the driveway. He had $3,000 in cash in his wallet. The pool / handyman found it and returned it. One final note, the road leading up to the house is unpaved and is insanely steep. We had a 4 wheel drive vehicle. If it rains and you have a 2 wheel drive vehicle, you may or may not make it up the hill.

The Pavilion at Manu Villas

5 of 5
The Pavilion offers beautiful vistas, a serene setting and a great home base for birders and other ecotourists. Toucans and parrots greet you in the morning, and nearby sites including Hacienda Baru and a variety of beaches offer more opportunities to enjoy Costa Rica's natural beauty. Grace was a charming and helpful hostess, Jose our patient driver and willing guide, and all the staff friendly and professional.
