                          Jungle Paradise!

                          5 of 5
Just returned from a week’s stay at Casa De Blue and all we can say is wow! Julian is a wealth of knowledge and the perfect host. The house location is absolutely the best spot anywhere around. Perfect for viewing and accessing two world-class right point breaks. Perfect for getting breezes from any direction and getting away from the bugs you’ll find in other houses closer to the beach (not a single mosquito bite!). Perfect for accessing other jungle activities like hiking Corcovado National Park, but if like us, we saw enough wildlife (monkeys, toucans, macaws, etc.) right from the dining room table! Oh yea, the dipping pool is icing on the cake after the walk up from the beach or jungle. Like other reviewers say, this house is not the place to bring young kids due to multi-levels of steps and lack of railings. However, it’s perfect for adults wanting to get away from it all. Just do your research on what to bring (and what not to bring) to this remote area. You don’t need lots of clothes and heavy shoes. You do need the following: 4WD if driving, flashlights, plenty of groceries if doing your own cooking, and an attitude that you are ready to get away from AC, technology and civilization in general. If you plan to surf, consider reef booties if your feet not tough enough to do the rock dances required for some of the breaks. Thanks Julian! Can’t wait to book my next trip!

                          Nature's paradise

                          5 of 5
The first impression coming to Rancho Picasso is that the pictures don't do it justice! You have to come here to realize how beautiful this place is! We really had an incredible time. Carlos is a gracious host, always answering our questions and doing everything he can to make our stay easy, relaxing and fun. What can you say about a place this beautiful, surfing waves and walking on beaches that are practically deserted. We are sold on the Osa and we'll be back next year. By the way, ask Carlos for the reference to charter a boat. excursions. John is his name out of Puerto Jiminez and he was great. We had a super good time surfing pavones, swimming with dolphins and fishing!
