Stunning

5 of 5
The house and view are beautiful. Great and private location. I would highly recommend this property and would love to visit again. Ed is very helpful and easy to communicate with.

Gorgeous house with a great view! part two...

4 of 5
Part two of my review - As mentioned a 4-wheel drive is a necessity as their roads are very bumpy, very narrow, and extremely winding. Expect that it will be a 2 hour drive to go pretty much anywhere, because you can’t drive very fast on these roads. It was definitely more time in a car than we were expecting, but the scenery was beautiful. And beware of taking short cuts that the locals will tell you about, often they led to a deep mud path or once we had to cross a river! All part of the adventure though. The area is in what can only be described as a rain forest – very lush & green, but also more rain than we would have liked. Often we woke up to find the house in the middle of the clouds. But usually a short drive would result in very different weather & it changed frequently throughout the day. The locals did tell us though that this was the rainiest winter in years. Our experience was far different (much better!) from the previous french review though, and only 6 weeks or so later. Yes we had lots of rain, but it never resulted in any power outages, and the wifi always worked very well. The TV is located in the kitchen though (which was weird) so we didn’t end up watching it at all. Any water pressure issues had been taken care of as ours was fine, although our water tank was empty one morning but again Coryn made sure it was taken care of quickly. We did not use the 2nd bedroom or bathroom so can’t speak to those issues. I would definitely recommend this house to someone, just know that it is a very remote area & that you will be driving a lot if you want to see Costa Rica. A good sense of adventure really helps here!
