Charming cottage

4 of 5
This home was perfect for our week at the beach. It's located in a quiet neighborhood just a very short walk away from the beach. It is nicely furnished and the shed is stocked with all the beach chairs and umbrellas we needed. Loved having a gas grill although there are tons of great restaurants a short drive away.

Phenomenal Property

5 of 5
This was one of the best places we have ever rented. Price was very reasonable considering the quality of the home. It does NOT feel like a rental property. It feels like you are staying in a relatives house, something impeccable and very comfortable. Every comfort and convenience possible. For the location, it is actually fantastic. We were trying hard to get into GLP and found this home a bit outside of that area. We had friends at GLP and visited them several times and honestly found this area where the house is in many respects more enjoyable. Eastern Point Beach is a huge asset that is not really mentioned. It is less than a mile away, $10 per car, uncrowded, amazig white sand beach, crystal clear water, calm bay that is great for kids. Let alone the crabbing and the old time snack bar that has prices reminiscent of 1984 not 2014. Seriously. Overall, awesome! Beaches, Kayaking, quiet, peaceful. 100% A+

Fantastic beach cottage in great location!

5 of 5
My family just finished staying a week here at this cottage, and it was ideal for the 4 of us. It is just as pictured: cozy and comfortable, yet one block walk to the private beach. The neighborhood is filled with super friendly people who are happy to get to know you and chat as they walk their dogs. The sleeping arrangements worked out great, with a futon on the sleeping porch for one son, the bunk beds in a separate room for 2 other kids, and I had the master. There is only one bathroom and it is up a steep flight of stairs, but it is large and the shower is awesome. Also has super washer and dryer that we used a lot. The beach is fairly small but so private-lots of days no one was there. Swimming was good, and the shoreline is lovely. Beach towels were provided, as well as a couple of chairs. Even though the property is small, we were able to entertain a party of 10 without difficulty. There is a great grocery store nearby-5 minute drive-and we were able to stock up on everything we needed. There is a small grill in the backyard which we used constantly. And there are several good lobster/seafood/burger restaurants that are a 10 minute drive and excellent. The owner Kathy was available whenever we needed help. Even though she was super busy, when my son wanted an additional sports channel for a soccer match, she was able to get it for us on very short notice. If you don't need too much space and love old historic beach cottages with slanting floors and lots of charm, I would definitely recommend this property.
