Cozy and CLean!

5 of 5
We had a wonderful stay in the bungalow. There were 4 of us and the space was plenty roomy. The outdoor shower was great although a bit cool outside! A suggestion was made for a small narrow bench in the downstairs bedroom to lay clothing on. It would be great if some kind of enclosure or curtain could be added to the beautiful claw foot tub upstairs. It is a bit tricky to bath and wash hair without getting water on the beautiful wood floors. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again! Thank you James and Angie for providing such a quaint place!

Perfect Family Getaway!

5 of 5
The cottage is very well-appointed and decorated. The photos really don't do it justice. This is an ideal spot for a family vacation or romantic stay. The local restaurants are quite good and the lake is gorgeous and quiet, except for a few boaters on the weekend. The owners were so friendly and helpful. We will definitely return!

Beautifully Surreal and Serene

This was one of the nicest get-aways I've ever experienced. While the listing was wholly accurate, nothing could have prepared me for how incredible this property actually was. We found privacy in layers: both within the spacious bungalow in its relation to the main property, as well as the geographical location and the sense of calm we got from being right there on the shore of the Long Island Sound. The surrounding town is rich with history and is particularly a must-see for architecture lovers. Our hosts took us on a walking tour of the neighborhood and the countryside and simply put, they were so warm and hospitable, they were our friends by the time we left. I highly recommend this rental for anyone--especially if you live in the city and need even a short respite. I will undoubtedly rebook with them.
