Perfect house for group getaway

5 of 5
A group of us (7 total) stayed here over New Year's Eve- this house was perfect for a group of friends/couples- plenty of private space, yet lots of communal space as well. Convenient (short drive) to supermarket/shopping/ Amtrak stations if needed. Beautiful location on the water, which we appreciated even in winter- especially the view from the living room! Dave was extremely personable and responsive. We're already planning a trip back in warmer weather.

RELAXATION & FUN

5 of 5
Honestly, we can't remember when we had so much relaxation and fun. Phil and I found the cottage to be more like our home away from home. It was clean, comfortable and cozy with ample seating and lots to do. And the views left us breathless. Our friends from Michigan joined us for most of the week and we were all taken by the Long Island Sound sunsets. The cottage living and dining areas are roomy with large windows facing the water so we found our favorite seats and proceeded to watch the sunsets while enjoying a glass of wine before dinner. We took advantage of the seafood that only New England can offer - Lobster, fried clams, seafood medleys, scallops and swordfish were on the menu most of the week. And the cottage is in a great area for walking and sightseeing. We made daily trips for shopping in Mystic, Stonington Borough, Essex, Niantic, Noank and Watch Hill, R.I. to name a few. We would recommend this cottage for just about anybody who enjoys being near the water. It's great for adults and youngsters alike. Thanks for offering your lovely cottage to us.
