                      Perfect getaway

                      5 of 5
Stayed 3 nights and four days, wish it could have been longer. This was the first time renting on the CT shore and it won't be the last. It proved to be an easy commute for our trip from MA and our adult children coming up from NYC on the Metro North wish stopped in the center of Milford about8 minutes away. The pretty town center is adorable with lots of choices for eating, walking and browsing. We particularly liked the SBC brewery beer selection and food was fantastic. Also ate at the Seven Seas restaurant, good food, tourists and town folk alike. Cheryl and Kim were so hospitable, felt like we were old friends as soon as we met them. The beach house was perfect, roomy, spotless, had all the things we needed for cooking as well as linens. The covered porch and extended deck sits right on the water at high tide giving the feeling of being on a cruise ship. Friendly neighbors and community. Amazing sunsets, lots of walking and relaxing. The interior of the house it had comfy beds and furniture as well as a casual feel.

                      Excellent place to stay

                      5 of 5
My girlfriends and I spent a week in August at this lovely home. It was perfect for us...neat, clean and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable, and the cool breeze blowing in from the ocean meant we could have the windows open and still be very comfortable. Didn't need the air conditioners at all. :-) Being fresh air freaks, this was decidedly appealing. The open space of the first floor meant we could easily interact even if not all participating in the same activity. I might be reading next to the window in one of the great antique chairs in the living room, while others were at the table putting together a puzzle, and another was surfing the web on the couch, but we could all enjoy the space together and feel connected. Two people could shower at the same time without a noticeable drop in water pressure. And we never ran out of hot water. The kitchen was fully stocked making cooking as good as at home. We ate dinner on the deck several times. The grill was great for cooking outdoors. It is a gas grill...which I considered a plus since we didn't have to mess with charcoal. Others might disagree, but it was so much easier to deal with. :-) It is nicely located for good access to other attractions, if like us, you don't spend the entire time on the beach. It was an easy jaunt to Mystic Seaport--a little over an hour, traffic permitting And we made it to see the Nautalis as well as to the Weir home. Dinosaur State Park was pretty cool too---focus is mainly for children, but seeing actual dinosaur tracks was amazing. Overall, we had a great stay. It was very nice and I would definitely stay again. Cheryl was great when it came to setting up our reservation, communicating about what was available and checking in to make sure we were happy.

                      Best Family Vacation

                      5 of 5
The Beach house was more than we ever expected. We came with our 9 grandchildren ages 7-16 and some of their parents. The beach, house and weather was PERFECT. Cheryl was great , she checked in on us and was available for anything we may have needed, but we didn't need anything the cottage was so well equipped. I've told everyone about this wonderful vacation house and sandy beach. we are definitely coming back next year.
