Fabulous beach house for short term or long

5 of 5
I stayed in this house for 2 weeks as an alternative to a downtown New Haven hotel for family for a weekend trip. It was fabulous!!!! I could not have been more pleased with the ease of navigating and logistics with the house, nor do I think I could have found a better decorated and comfortable house to stay! The attention to detail with everything in this house is stunning. It is the perfect beach house, with the feel of luxury in the bedrooms and bathrooms, but the comfort of a home. It is stocked with wonderful books for a quiet day at home amidst the plethora of groomed foliage and flowers in the back or front yard, records and music to enjoy old times, games to enjoy time with family, or a very short walk to the beach for a sunny day. There is a market roughly 2 blocks away (less than 5 minutes walking) with some of the best chicken salad and grape leave I have ever had (and I have had quite a few at different places as they are two of my favorite foods), a fabulous lobster roll cafe (we had a dinner catered in the back yard one evening weekend), and beach shops to rent paddle boards or purchase a stained glass or sea shell souvenir. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, and the neighbors pleasant and friendly. I would recommend this beach house to anyone who is looking for an alternative to staying in a hotel and is looking for a clean and comfortable feeling. It is very friendly for a long term rental. If I return to Connecticut, I would definitely stay in this rental again, and I plan to rent through VRBO for all vacations in the future as opposed to staying in a hotel. Overall, a spectacular place to stay!!!

The perfect home for a family vacation!

5 of 5
We had a wonderful stay in Milford. The home is fully stocked with anything you would need on vacation and it had plenty of room for four adults and a toddler. Our 18 month old loved all of the toys and the gated pool was a great feature! The home was comfortable, clean, and within walking distance to the beach. The home is also accessible to everything you need.. Grocery store, great restaurants, and cute local stores. We will definitely stay in this home again if we are in the area. The owners are very nice and easy to reach with any questions you might have during your stay.

Fabulous Rental House

5 of 5
We rented this house in August for a family reunion/vacation. The house was much nicer than in the pictures. We were all thrilled with the size of the rooms, the excellent furniture and decorations, the gourmet kitchen and the proximity to the beach. The kids loved playing in the yard under the huge tree then running to the beach which was only a 2 minute walk. I grew up on the Connecticut shore and NEVER considered vacationing on the beach. I had no idea what a beautiful shoreline Milford had and the lovely homes lining the boardwalk. The kids spent hours playing on the jetty seaching for crabs and building sand castles. It was truly a vacation to remember. I would HIGHLY recommend this house and the person who owns it. The only part we would have enjoyed more is that Laurel Beach Association has a beautiful old 'club house' with a bowling alley and games inside which was locked at all times. That would have put the vacation over the top if the kids could have played there on the rainy days:)!
