            Peaceful, romantic and inspiring

            5 of 5
We spent a wonderful weekend at the beautiful Cottage at Great Falls. It was our second visit and found it to be as amazing as the first stay, if not better. Our first visit was in the fall, we walked the Appalachian Trail, photographed the foliage and the falls. Mario and Danielle have a wealth of knowledge for this area; for this stay they recommended we rent a pontoon boat at O’Hara’s Landing at Twin Lakes in Salisbury. It was a wonderful idea; it’s a short scenic drive to the beautiful lake. Bring a picnic lunch and spend the day floating and swimming. I agree fully with Robin and Gregory’s reviews, their descriptions of the cottage are perfect. My favorite spot is the sunroom off the master bedroom overlooking the Housatonic River. Take time to walk the property, the cottage is artistic inside and out. You will leave relaxed, at peace and inspired to get creative. Mario and Danielle, thank you maintaining this beautiful retreat in Connecticut and making it available for others to enjoy.

            PERFECTION

            5 of 5
Just got back to Manhattan after a two-night ladies' getaway at Spirit Horse Farm. The house and property look exactly like the pictures listed, if not even better. The house was clean and stunningly beautiful. It's truly the best vacation home I've ever rented. If you're looking for a quiet place to get away for the weekend this is it! Kent is quaint a beautiful as well- with a liquor store, pizza place, and ice cream shop less than a mile from the Farm. The farm-owner- Guy, was welcoming and lovely and the property is complete with chickens, roosters, horses, and a peacock- We loved it!

            Heaven on Earth

In one of the most beautiful parts of the US, this is certainly one of the loveliest places to stay. The house is a perfect blend of antiques with all modern amenities. There are two charming bedroom suites and another bedroom in the eaves. We did not have use of the lovely pool house as it winter. You can leave the house and hike for hours around the property. 5 minutes away is some the the most picturesque canoeing. The owner is a delight and very accommodating. I live in San Francisco and miss this house everyday.
