Great Location!

5 of 5
We really enjoyed our stay at this property, and even though it was unbelievably cold, the house was warm and cozy and we had a wonderful fire in the fireplace. The house was well stocked with everything we could possibly have needed for a late Christmas gathering and shopping was a breeze as the grocery store was so close. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us! Robin McLaughlin Dallas, TX

Restful beachside vacation

4 of 5
The rental house , set just up the hill and a short walk from the beach access, is clean, quiet and filled with all the amenities needed for a good family vacation: kitchenware, wifi, two beds rooms (one with two beds) and a pullout couch, washer-dryer, TVs, BBQ grill, bikes, beach chairs, kayaks and beach umbrella, not to mention games and books. Just add food and people. Meg, the propoerty overseer, came by several times to tend to the nice garden (yielding tomoatoes and cukes for our consumption) and could not have been nicer. The beach and its cove are beautiful and peaceful. There are local shops, supermarkets, restaurants and tourist sites, even two outlet malls. A real find.

A Delightful Walk to the Beach

4 of 5
Everyday was a new experience! New flowers to see new kitties to pet, more bunnies to watch nibble the grass. The home was as pictured. The house is reasonably clean. Mildew was a problem but after a week of washing with Lysol, it was livable.Gene, the owner made every attempt to set things right. A true gentleman. He drove fifty miles from his home to correct a problem with the washer. The home is very bright and peaceful. Sitting on the sunporch after supper and watching the birds was a delight. The short walk to the beach was so enjoyable. So many different flowers in the neighborhood gardens. Everyone was so friendly. The beach is a small, private area and great for quiet reading, sea life watching or great swimming. Our favorite spot. If the house had drawbacks it would be the lack of comfortable living room furniture and no TV in the upstairs bedrooms. The kitchen is adequately supplied with utensils and is user friendly. The full bath downstairs was very clean and airy. The large dining room was wonderful for a large family get together. If the mildew problem can be resolved, I would certainly be back in the spring. I offered several solutions to Gene and he said he would look into them. If you seek the quiet comfort of a private hideaway, yet close to everything, this is it. For good dining try Donahue's on Route 1, or Aqua's at the marina in Clinton.Bradley and Wall have the best pizza and take out on Wall Street.
