PEACEFUL RETREAT

5 of 5
My wife and I have absolutely loved our stays at Miracle Mountain. For those seeking a peaceful retreat, away from the noisy and fast-paced environment of the city, look no furthe. While at first it may feel a little daunting being so secluded (and having acres and acres of open land in all directions), you'll quickly settle into a quaint and comfortable piece of heaven. The air is so fresh, the ambiance so quiet and still - it's a great retreat to sit down with a book and soak in the natural beauty surrounding you. If you like more activity, my wife and I have really enjoyed the opportunities to take hikes around the rental into the neighboring national forest, and a nearby reservoir about 20 minutes hiking distance away makes for some breath-taking views. The home itself is very quaint and has a warm, cozy cabin feeling about it. There are numerous bedrooms and I could see it accommodating a larger family very easily. For my wife and I, it was an ample amount of space! Everything is neatly prepared and organized, and the owners have done a great job of providing suggestions for places to visit in neighboring Woodland Park, Manitou Springs, and Colorado Springs. Likewise, despite being so secluded and immersed in nature, you definitely feel well-cared for and provided for by the owners and their welcoming accommodations. In the end, Miracle Mountain was a great retreat spot for us, with a welcoming atmosphere from start to finish. We've never left from a vacation feeling so recharged.

What a wonderful house!!

5 of 5
We loved this home and the vacation we had there. Everything was so nice and we loved the location. You were close to everything in town but yet you were in the mountains. We didn't take advantage of all the things there are to do because we were there to rest from a summer of irrigation and get ready for the fall work. We were able to do that and still order pizza delivery!! I would recommend this home to anyone who wants to visit Woodland Park!!

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

4 of 5
This is a mixed review since there were several good things, and several not-so-good. First, the good: Beautiful setting, secluded and quiet (for the most part except for the loud jerks on four-wheelers in the middle of the night racing and revving up and down the road). There is not actually a view of Pike's Peak as advertised, but the scenery is beautiful nonetheless. The inside of the large yurt is well laid out and we especially enjoyed the spacious shower and the desk area and living space. The kitchen is well stocked as is the bathroom. The bad: windows are small and do not open. They are unfinished and you can see the insulation. The deck doesn't go all the way around and there is only a small porch in back to enjoy the view. The wi-fi is extremely slow and most of the time we couldn't get on because it took forever for anything to load. It is even slower than dialup. The bed was lumpy and not very comfortable. The ugly: this was advertised as having a washer and we planned accordingly when packing....but there is no washer. There was supposed to be cell phone reception, but there was no signal at all either inside or outside in any spot. The bed was advertised as a sleep number, but it is not. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and were happy with the accommodations, but we were disappointed with the misrepresentation of several key amenities. It may not have made a difference as to whether or not we rented, but it isn't fair to not be able to make an informed decision as to whether or not it is worth the cost.
