Another Breathtaking weekend

5 of 5
My wife and I returned to this wonderful vacation home to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. Folks I am in awe that the calendar for this home is not booked solid. You are truly missing out. Cozy comfortable deer scenery ease of access are just a few things to mention. BOOK BOOK BOOK I know that we will!!!!!

Beats a hotel any day!

5 of 5
This beautiful home has incredible views and is better equipped than any rental we have used in the USA or Europe. You can tell it is a real home. It is cozy and comfortable and had everything you could ever want or need. My husband is a very keen cook and he LOVED the kitchen. I loved soaking in the hot tub while he cooked...... The autumn colours from the deck were so vibrant and the sky so blue, it was like being a technicolor movie shoot. We saw a fox on the deck and a woodpecker on the balcony, and mule deer on the doorstep. Carrie was extremely helpful both before and during our stay. I can't recommend this property too highly.

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

4 of 5
This is a mixed review since there were several good things, and several not-so-good. First, the good: Beautiful setting, secluded and quiet (for the most part except for the loud jerks on four-wheelers in the middle of the night racing and revving up and down the road). There is not actually a view of Pike's Peak as advertised, but the scenery is beautiful nonetheless. The inside of the large yurt is well laid out and we especially enjoyed the spacious shower and the desk area and living space. The kitchen is well stocked as is the bathroom. The bad: windows are small and do not open. They are unfinished and you can see the insulation. The deck doesn't go all the way around and there is only a small porch in back to enjoy the view. The wi-fi is extremely slow and most of the time we couldn't get on because it took forever for anything to load. It is even slower than dialup. The bed was lumpy and not very comfortable. The ugly: this was advertised as having a washer and we planned accordingly when packing....but there is no washer. There was supposed to be cell phone reception, but there was no signal at all either inside or outside in any spot. The bed was advertised as a sleep number, but it is not. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and were happy with the accommodations, but we were disappointed with the misrepresentation of several key amenities. It may not have made a difference as to whether or not we rented, but it isn't fair to not be able to make an informed decision as to whether or not it is worth the cost.
