GREAT LOCATION, FIRST CLASS HOME

5 of 5
Large home is beautifully decorated. Lots of room. Just like the pictures. The kitchen is modern and has everything you could possibly want for entertaining. The beds are comfortable and the sheets were very soft. The shower in the master bath was one of my favorite features. Loved the view of Pikes Peak. We were close to Colorado Springs attractions. We liked that stores and restaurants were close. We recommend Fiesta Mexicana family restaurant for dinner and Grandmother's kitchen for breakfast. The view from the patio at Swiss Chalet was gorgeous. The owners provided everything we needed and more for our stay.

GREAT GETAWAY IN WELL-MAINTAINED HOME

5 of 5
My family, including siblings and their kids, stayed here for five nights in early July. The home is set up perfectly for bigger groups - plenty of space for hanging out, cooking, eating and relaxing. The home was very clean and had all the amenities you might need, even small details like shampoo and body wash in each bathroom. Our only request (a big pot for pasta) was handled quickly by the managers. We enjoyed the billiards table and the kids loved air hockey. A few people also took advantage of the catch-and-release trout fishing. And the Pike's Peak view from the balcony was lovely! One note, the rooms are really set up for just 1-2 people sharing a bed. We had little kids who are too young for their own rooms, so we did blankets on the floor. It worked out great, we just brought the extra bedding since the house isn't set up for that. We would definitely rent this home again if we return to the area!

THE BEST FAMILY RETREAT EVER!

5 of 5
This was the ideal "halfway point" for my family and my sister's family to spend a summer vacation together. We were all amazed at the treatment and information we received, from the owner, even before our journey began. Pam made sure all bases were covered and was even willing to add any personal touches that we may require. We definitely had a full house but there was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy our own piece of serenity.Upon driving up to the house, we stopped to just enjoy the gorgeous piece of property that would be ours for the next week. The land (and privacy) that this place offered is hard to find these days.It was the perfect location to do some awesome sightseeing-Cheyenne Mnt Zoo,Olympic Training Center,Garden of the Gods,Santa's Workshop, shopping in Manitou Springs, cliff dwellings in Manitou,Molly Kathleen Gold Mine tour,Pikes Peak, great restaurants and shopping-all within 20-30 minutes. This place had it all...we couldn't keep the kids away from the exploring and fishing/boating on the pond!Actually, when asked what their favorite part of the trip was, everyone said staying at the house! We had volleyball & badminton games going, relaxing in the hammock, glass of wine on the decks, hiking, family boardgames, movie nights, etc. We have been on the hunt to find a great place for my family (in Phoenix) to join my sister's family (from Kansas) to spend summer vacations together and this was perfect! We have already started our discussions for where to try next year but when we write out our list, Trout Creek is where we all come back to!Now we just need to decide on what week (or two) we can all fit into our schedule next year!Pam was extremely helpful and made sure we were taken care of...even leaving us a wonderful "Welcome" basket full of goodies! We loved her so much that we invited her to keep us company one evening and we really enjoyed our time with her.We have already recommended this property to all of our friends and even passed the word around while we were exploring the area and meeting other vacationers. This place really can't be beat!Thank you Pam and David for sharing this home with us and allowing us to have such an incredible family vacation! We will be back...
