Great Ski Vacation

4 of 5
Our group (+/- 25 people) has been doing ski vacations for over 20 years and this has been the best location we have had so far. We were there to ski and snowboard at Winter Park and this place is perfect for that. It’s not luxurious and you don’t have full service anything, but it works really well for a group who are there to ski though not necessarily for your first trip to the mountain. Don’t stay here if you are looking for a “plush” or “fancy” or even new. That’s not this place. It is however functional and spacious on the order of a hunting camp. As to the house, yes it is old and not everything works perfectly. The layout at times is maze like and it’s obvious that many modifications were done over time to add all the rooms and bathrooms. Overall the place is big and equipped for the larger groups. Most of the things in it are older (including the bedding) but functional all the same. The kitchen has two large commercial ovens, a commercial stove and large grill. The dining room is plenty big enough for everyone to eat and the view from the full wall of windows is very peaceful. If you have ever rented a condo for a group on a ski trip and were tripping over each other that is not this place. Lots of room to move around, but be prepared to deal with it being older and not in top condition. I won’t say dirty because most things were clean, but certainly well used. There were lots of towels and spare bedding to make sure everyone was comfortable although we did have to redo a few beds with proper linens. When we arrived (11:30) the cleaning crew was still there and we were not allowed into the property until they were finished so we had everyone milling around trying to figure out what to do. In the parking area we found an electric company employee there issuing a notice that the power would be turned off in two days if the bill wasn't paid. Along with the power guy and the cleaning crew some people from the resort management company were trying to fix some lights that kept blowing fuses. We weren't allowed in the house until the cleaning crew finished. I contacted the management company and they got everything worked out and confirmed that the power would indeed remain on. The management company was easy to work with and helpful although I don’t like how they managed the cleaning. I don’t see why they waited until the day we arrived to start cleaning the house instead of doing it the day before.

Great home for family vacation!

5 of 5
We had a blast at the house. The house and property were very clean and well kept. We had six adults and six kids and the many different bedrooms worked well for us. We were very close to any winter activity we wanted to do in Fraser and/or Winter Park. With Breckenridge and Vail only a short drive away it was perfectly located. Aaron did a great job of helping us with info before our trip and Travis was very helpful with any questions or needs we had. We would definitely recommend this home and hopefully will return soon.

The perfect winter getaway!

5 of 5
Arrived to find sheets all provided for and all the kitchen equipment we could want. The place was stocked with a handful of the owner's books and DVDs so it really felt like we were sharing someone's home. It was great to return to our home away from home each evening after a day on the slopes. Tina was very quick to respond to inquiries leading up to the booking. Would recommend and book again!
