BEST KEPT SECRET IN BRECKENRIDGE

5 of 5
My husband, children and I stayed in the house for a week during spring break. I have been hesitant to write this review as I want to keep this house available for myself!! But it is not fair to the owners who are wonderful, very accommodating, fair and honest. So I decided to share my little secret with you all. The house is very cute with a very warm, cozy mountain feel. The description on Homeaway is really what you get. It is well equipped, spacious and easy to live in. The floor plan flows very well. There are two living areas, one on the main floor and one in the basement so children and adults can have their own space. There is a real laundry room which is always convenient when you stay for a week and want to pack light. Everything is straight forward and all equipment inside and out was functioning very well. It is worth to notice also that the house was immaculate clean when we arrived. It is very well located, close to town, and to the slopes. It is also a walking distant from public and Nordic Center trails. The owners have a map to explain where to go and find the trails. The street is very quiet, the backyard is spacious. If you come in the winter, you definitively need a 4x4 wheel drive. And I also highly recommend Yaktrax (for snow and ice) if you plan to walk in the streets of Peak 7. It can be icy in the morning and late afternoon. We will definitively rent this house again!

COZY SPACE MEANT FOR COUPLES

4 of 5
The description clearly states a Romantic Getaway - and it is...although, the price was great, so even though I went with a good friend, we thought we would have plenty of space to relax. Keep the fireplace low as the heat will roast those in the loft (again if going the non-romantic route). Not meant for more than a couple or family..Friend had to hang out in bedroom to watch tv when we were exhausted from snowboarding. Don't get me wrong, this place has all you really need, just not for friends enjoying time away. Great owner, great place...stay romantic AND have a 4wd vehicle. All we needed the cabin for was really sleeping and it was good for that. Fresh Towels, clean cabin, most utensils, etc and a GREAT view of the surrounding mountains. You are butted right up against the owner and above another tenant, but never had a problem. Shane was great and very helpful. Not real close to town to where you would want to walk in the winter, but close enough for a short 5-minute drive. Take Shane's advice on the restaurants and don't buy too much food, because long days on the slopes will have you leaving A LOT of food for the next group...hope whomever you were - enjoyed great food and our beers! Thanks

GREAT CABIN!

4 of 5
We stayed for 5 nights and loved it! Hot tub worked great and this lovely cabin exceeded our expectations. We did not see in the info that a tenant lived downstairs, but it was not an issue at all, he was very friendly. Parking was the only complaint we had, as the tenant has 2 vehicles and were both in front, we had to park next to the snow bank and climb out passenger side to leave room for him to get out, but not a big deal. The snow was great, kids had a blast playing in front yard. By far the best value in the area! Thank you so much for sharing this home with us!
