NEVERENDING VIEWS!

5 of 5
I have been to the 'DSL' numerous times with my family....sometimes joined by a couple of friends, sometimes just with our two dogs. If you decided to "do nothing" at this great location of doing many things, you would still find yourself completely satisfied staring out the floor-to-ceiling windows in the Great Room at either 11 Mile Reservoir, literally a walk away or across the valley toward Spinney. The large and comfortable furniture makes 'enjoying the views' that much better. And the same thing at night.... you can star gaze from inside or exit one of the three doors to the wraparound deck to check them out. The other thing that rates highly with me is that I still do not know of a more dog friendly rental than the DSL. In a large roomy house, on 35 acres of remote property (with a fenced in run larger than most Denver suburb yards) you don't have to worry about your dog getting hit by a car or getting out of sight (though there is dirt road down the long driveway and then down the private road entrance). Of course the Dream Stream / Charlie Meyers SWA is right out the door...walk to the 11 Mile inlet or drive 5 minutes to one of the parking lots. And visiting 11 Mile is a great family outing even if not on the water with easy hiking, lots of rock scrambling and ample opportunity to picnic. If you value privacy in a remote setting, The Dream Stream Lodge is certainly worth checking out. Pam has been great with each visit with good communication, answering my questions, along with an easy and no hassle rental agreement (no nickel and diming for the dogs like most other places!) GREAT PLACE FOR FAMILY REUNION

4 of 5
My family stayed here last summer. There were 13 of us and we were all very comfortable. The home is beautifully furnished and decorated. The road to the house is right off the main highway. It sits up on a hill with lots of acreage around it. The kitchen was well supplied for our cooking needs. We made great memories grilling and sitting out on the deck in the evenings, talking for hours. It's a beautiful area! I will come back here again one day!

BEAUTIFUL

5 of 5
This house is great. Beautiful decor and spacious rooms. But we spent very little time inside as we enjoyed the large wrap around porch, outdoor hot tub, patio area and hiking around the property. Our group of 25 had a wonderful time while staying here for a whitewater rafting trip. It was great fun to raft by our home away from home while on the all day Royal Gorge rafting trip. The location was very convenient to Canon City. The owner was very accommodating. We found it very hard to leave. Highly recommended. Note: Definitely take the Skyline Drive road off of highway 50 just west of Canon City for a neat little drive.
