My family and I stayed in this at Saddlewood for 10 days in July, 2014, for our summer vacation.
We had several issues arise before and at the beginning of our vacation that could have shortened or prevented us from taking our vacation altogether (NONE of which were the fault of Sandy at iTrip, nor the owners). However, Sandy working with the owners, were able to assist us so that we could still come and enjoy our vacation. Thank you Sandy and owners for working with us, enabling us to have an enjoyable family vacation! I rarely write reviews on anything, but because of their customer service, I felt compelled to tell about our experience and this lovely condo.
About the property / condo itself: this is a beautiful, well-maintained condo located up the mountain above downtown / Main street Breckenridge. We loved the location! It is about a 7 minute walk downhill to the Main Street shops / river area of Breckenridge. There are numerous other areas to walk in the neighborhood around the condo. Also, the Breckenridge or Sawmill? Reservoir is a hidden gem less than a 10 minute walk of the condo where you can hike / fish. My son caught his limit of Rainbow Trout there one day.
Inside, the condo consists of 3 floors. You enter on the middle floor (although the middle floor is at ground level at the front of the condo, the land slopes down outside). The garage, entry area, and master bedroom area are all on this middle floor. The garage is a single car size which I noticed is heated. The master bedroom had what, for us, was the most comfortable bed we have slept on in a condo. There’s a good sized balcony with 2 chairs off the master bedroom – I enjoyed my morning coffee out there most mornings. The master bath is beautiful and clean with a long shower area. I also noticed that the bathroom floor is heated (maybe the whole condo is heated through the floors?)
The top floor contains the kitchen, dining area, and living area with a small balcony off the living area towards the front. The kitchen, while a bit small when more than 1 or 2 people are in it, was well-equipped with everything we needed.
The lower floor has 2 bedrooms with adjoining baths, another living area, and a large laundry room.
The only thing we did not like was the stairs. By that, I mean going up and down to go to different rooms was tiring (of course, we live just above sea level).
Saddlewood will be at the top of our list the next time we return to Breckenridge!
