Perfect off season getaway

5 of 5
We came to Colorado for our honeymoon. My wife wanted a cabin by a lake in the mountains. She was thrilled that I found exactly what she wanted and said it reminded her of when she lived in BC as a child. The cabin was wonderful. The bedroom we used had a view of the lake and when the window is open in the morning you see the sunrise over the near mountains on the other side of the lake. The view from the kitchen and living room is of the river feeding the lake and there were always ducks and other birds in it as that was just about the only unfrozen water in the area while we were there. The first day we had two moose come right up to the cabin and eat the grass by the firewood. It was awesome! The location was perfect as it was five minutes to grand lake (town) and 15 minutes to Granby (bigger town). The highlights f our trip were all within 30 minutes drive. Horseback riding, waterfall trails, hot sulphur springs. The last night we had a fire going in the cabin. When we arrived, the manager had set out some champagne and candles for us as they knew it was our honeymoon. The cabin had all of the dishes necessary for us to make a full gourmet meal for our candlelight dinner. The only suggestion I have to supplement the kitchen stock is possibly a small bottle of Olive oil. But we were able to make do without it as we hadn't thought to buy it at the store for just a fee days. We had a great time and seriously no complaints about the cabin. And the timing was great, there were not a lot of people in the area. But if you did go in the summer for the lakes, you would still be in the perfect location. Thank you Tracee!

Good size cabin close to downtown Grand Lake

5 of 5
My husband and myself, and three other couples stayed in this house recently for snowmobiling weekend. It was perfect for four couples because unlike many other homes, this home had four king or queen size beds, instead of one or two of the rooms with bunk beds or twin beds. We love that they allowed well behaved dogs at no extra charge! The road and driveway were quite muddy but we made do. The house is well equipped with bedding and kitchen necessities. Convenient location from town. The owners were very flexible with checkout time as well. Overall, would highly recommend others to stay at this home!

Great extended weekend

5 of 5
We had a wonderful weekend and loved the cabin. It was perfect for my husband and I and our daughter and family dog. The cabin was furnished comfortably and even had a crockpot or two! We had everything we needed to make our weekend complete. We have stayed in the area before and have decided that this is a place we will return to as it was perfect. We enjoyed the Nordic Center just up the road and a day of skiing at Granby Ranch. You have a little bit of paradise and we thank you for sharing it.
