Beautiful God's country spectacular getaway!

5 of 5
Grand Lake has long been a family getaway. However, we have never stayed anywhere so beautiful! This spectacular home is right on the lake, within walking distance of the main strip and faces Mount Baldy from all of the decks. We were able to utilize the elevator to transport all of the food and libations to the second floor and luggage to our Master suite on the third floor. The sunken hot tub on the deck overlooking an indescribable awesome view will now be one of my new "happy places". The home offers a kitchen with a bevy of serving dishes, dual refrigerators, a comfy great room and all of the amenities needed for a perfect getaway. All of our guests are already planning there next visit to this amazing property. Thank you Joann for being so sweet and accommodating!

Amazing little cabin!!!

5 of 5
I had an amazing time in this little cabin. It comes with everything you could possibly think of. It has a feeling of seclusion even though you are not, there are neighbors on both sides but I never saw or heard anyone. You can only see their cabins if you are outside, from the couch all you can see and hear is the river rolling by. You are within walking distance to the quaint little town and a short drive to the Rocky Mountains. Numerous elk frequent the area and I had an amazing May day with snow so there were lots of hoof prints across the back deck when I woke up. I arrived and departed after hours and was able to pick up and drop off the keys without any delay, the guys at Ponderosa were very easy to work with and everything was just as stated, no surprises. Nice, clean and very comfortable. I look forward to coming back and spending another vacation here.

Amazing cabin!

5 of 5
This cabin was a perfect for quick getaway from Denver. We stayed two nights and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet as well as the amenities this property offered. We took full advantage of the outdoor fire pit, various comfy seating around the property and the lovely deck near the river. My husband caught some fish right in front of the little porch! The linens were very cozy and soft and the shower is very nice as other reviews mentioned. If you have small kids, bring paper plates because all of the plateware is ceramic and pretty nice. You also should pack charcoal for the bbq if you plan on using it. The only thing I would recommend the owners to get for the kitchen is a bigger cutting board, the one in the kitchen was pretty small and not super functional, but otherwise we found the kitchen was very well stocked. We would have loved to have taken advantage of the canoes, but unfortunately the weather was just too bad while we were there. So, if you are a looking for a rustic cabin with some upscale perks this is the place! We would absolutly stay here again!
