The cabin was perfect for our Labor Day weekend getaway. We were hoping for a cozy, clean, light/bright, peaceful, tranquil, comfortable retreat with mountain views, and the cabin met our expectations. It was pretty chilly upon arrival, but Michael was available by phone to clarify the thermostat and wood stove operations. Having morning sun in the eat-in kitchen was a joy, as was nature-watching through picture windows (although the glass could have been a little cleaner). Unfortunately, the previous occupants did not remove the built-up ashes from the stove or the grill as they are asked to do in the instructions, so we had a before-and-after cleanup; otherwise the place was clean and well maintained. Mountain views, rarefied air, cocktails and snacks on the sun-drenched side deck was priceless. We brought most meals from home, but now know for the future that Prathers market in town is large, well stocked and reasonable. We barbequed steaks on the front porch (first checking the local fire station's website for fire safety), and enjoyed several nearby hikes and walking the South Park City Tour (not to be missed!). Michael granted our request for an extra night, which we so appreciated. Had a great time and would definitely go back.
