Amazing cabin!

5 of 5
This cabin was a perfect for quick getaway from Denver. We stayed two nights and we really enjoyed the peace and quiet as well as the amenities this property offered. We took full advantage of the outdoor fire pit, various comfy seating around the property and the lovely deck near the river. My husband caught some fish right in front of the little porch! The linens were very cozy and soft and the shower is very nice as other reviews mentioned. If you have small kids, bring paper plates because all of the plateware is ceramic and pretty nice. You also should pack charcoal for the bbq if you plan on using it. The only thing I would recommend the owners to get for the kitchen is a bigger cutting board, the one in the kitchen was pretty small and not super functional, but otherwise we found the kitchen was very well stocked. We would have loved to have taken advantage of the canoes, but unfortunately the weather was just too bad while we were there. So, if you are a looking for a rustic cabin with some upscale perks this is the place! We would absolutly stay here again!

A Fairy Tale Christmas!

5 of 5
I'm not sure what more I can add to the already descriptive reviews. Please read them for a perfect synopsis of this delightful mountain retreat--truly a home away from home. We chose the perfect place to enjoy Christmas as a family--tucked away in this charming, comfortable mountain cabin. We were together in a very special place and daily we were grateful. It could not have been more perfect. We will be back! Thank you so much, Jessie. You were very accommodating. You weren't even there, but we felt your warmth and hospitality.

Everything advertised only BETTER!!!!!

5 of 5
No need to hesitate or second guess yourself, if you want a secluded location, this is the place to stay, BOOK IT NOW; you will not be disappointed!!!! The photos and listing information do not do this cabin justice. It is newly remodeled, fresh and clean! Everything is provided for you except your personal toiletries and food. You can prepare most meals with the kitchen essentials that are provided. We were pleasantly surprised to find that everything was even better than presented on the website. In our first hour at the cabin, we were greeted by an impressive double rainbow. That evening and the next morning deer surrounded the cabin. We witnessed several deer in rut, locking their antlers. The hot tub was wonderful to relax in morning and evening. An evening fire in the fireplace added to the ambiance. The pool table offered entertainment each evening and the Wi-Fi enabled three teenagers to survive the week without cell service! During our stay we visited the Colorado Springs Zoo, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, the Royal Gorge, Pikes Peak, did a little fishing at 11 Mile Reservoir and took a scenic road trip to Buena Vista and Breckenridge. We would recommend all of the above, with the exception of the cliff dwellings, as it was an overpriced tourist stop. Although the drive time to these places sounds like a lot, it did not feel like it because of all of the beautiful scenery and wildlife along the way. Arrive early enough so that your first trip up the driveway is in the daylight; it is a dirt road up a mountain with several turns and some steep inclines. We did not have any problems in our car but it would have been a little intimidating the first time in the dark. The owners make you feel at ease, are easy to get a hold of and respond quickly to your inquiries.
