Can't wait to go back!

5 of 5
After staying in other cabins for 25+ years around Lake City and South Fork, we were a little worried we'd feel like we were in the foothills in Pagosa Springs. After having arrived in the dark, the very first morning proved otherwise. Gorgeous view toward Wolf Creek Pass out the front window, deer in the grassy valley in the middle distance, horses grazing out back, on the edge of town but still private--this neat-as-a-pin cabin has it all. Inside, the owners had taken great care to provide all the amenities guests might want with such thoughtful decor. The kitchen with its fabulous granite countertop, the rough-hewn pine bedroom furniture, the fireplace + TV and Internet for our teenage son, even a stacked washer/dryer-- we did not want to leave, even to go into town! What a peaceful, restful place. Well done, Janice and Marvin. Thank you for sharing your gem of a cabin with us! We hope to come back again sometime and soon.

An incredibly lovely, well-stocked home!

5 of 5
We stayed in several places over our two week vacation and this was by far our favorite. It was so comfortable and homey, we probably did less exploring of Pagosa than we normally would have - we didn't want to leave! The decorating is so stylish and modern, but most importantly everything, from the beds to the couch, is very comfortable. I loved sitting in the dining area watching the hummingbirds feed in the morning. The kitchen had everything you could ever need to cook and there were plenty of towels. I've stayed in places all over the world and this to me, is most important - feeling like you are home and not like you are in a rental. I could walk to downtown from the house, and did most mornings to the bakery, so the location is ideal. I can't recommend this place enough and Ohea and her husband were both very responsive and very, very nice. Also the jacuzzi rocks : )

Big Horn Cabin was excellent.

5 of 5
The cabin was great. It was very clean and well-maintained, and the listing pictures were very accurate as to the layout and amenities of the cabin. There was a tremendous view of the mountains from the master bedroom, and the stars were amazing from the second bedroom. We particularly appreciated the location of the cabin which was about 5 miles or so from Pagosa (5-10 minute drive), but secluded enough that we had almost no traffic going by the cabin. We saw deer every morning. The ages of our group ranged from 86 down to 11, and we all thought this was the best place we've rented yet. If we vacation in Pagosa again, Big Horn cabin will definitely be our first choice.
