Family Vacation

5 of 5
Lodge was excellent. Tucked in a quiet beautiful area of Idaho Springs, Colorado. Lodge was very spacious, clean, and great for an extended family get away. The children loved being outdoors hikeing and playing in the snow. Kitchen was well equipped as well as the rest of the lodge with all the amenities. The owners provided excellent customer service. Calling us when we arrived to welcome and give us there numbers if we needed anything. I would highly recommend this lodge. Our family is trying to plan a summer vacation at this lodge.

Beautiful Mountain Getaway With Kind, Reachable Host

5 of 5
My fiance and I brought both of our families to this house over the holidays. A total of 11 of us! We loved waking up to snow-covered pine trees. We cooked a lot in the spacious kitchen and were all able to fit for family meals around the dining room table. If there is heavy snow, having a 4-wheel drive is important as the house is 3 miles up a side road. We went skiing at Loveland Ski Resort one day, which was about 25 min away. Russ was very available for questions both before our departure and while we were there. He made us feel welcome and as though it was our home for the days we were there. We would highly recommend going here and will return ourselves.

Wonderful. WOW.

5 of 5
Very relaxing. The view is awe inspiring. The home itself is comfortable with everything needed. The owner met us, gave us a short tour, and made us feel right at home. Our family reunion/vacation here was perfect (3 couples, one infant). At the end of our vacation as we discussed the highlights, the vacation home was at the top of everyone's list. We enjoyed picnics on the patio, stargazing, s'mores made by the fire pit, abundant and varied wildflowers, the QUIET, sunrises and sunsets, and the majestic mountains of the Continental Divide. When or if you ever tire of this amazing place, there is plenty to do nearby as well. We hiked to St. Mary's Glacier (sledding in July!), took the scenic route to Estes Park and drove Trail Ridge Road through RMNP, took the Georgetown Loop Railroad/Mine Tour, hiked to nearby lakes, visited Breckenridge. Awesome beauty all around, very relaxing.
