GREAT FAMILY GET TOGETHER

4 of 5
We visited Idaho Springs and area for a week. The whole family so we used all the space plus the mats for the floor. We had a great time in this home away from home. The large kitchen table was a plus as was the basement bunk bed area for seperate sleeping and extra tv. Kitchen equipped well. Loved the wrap around porch. If there were a couple of suggestions: as another viewer pointed out the queen bed is hard and there is only 1 ceiling fan in the dining room. I would suggest ceiling fans in bedrooms and have screens on windows in the bedrooms and sliding glass doors to allow more airflow and not have to worry about bugs. It did get warm in the bedrooms at night and we were not comfortable opening the windows without screens. Eventually we did as it was too warm to get a good night sleep. There are screens on the windows in the dining area which helps in that part of the house. There is no air conditioner but no need for one as it does remain fairly cool up in the mountain. All in all we had a good time and staying in a home away from home is the way I prefer it. Well kept home. Thank you Russ

SPECTACULAR VIEWS!

5 of 5
Pictures do not do this house or the view justice, it is absolutely breathtaking. We spent three nights here, and it definitely was not enough! The house was spotless, and the owner of the property was so kind. I definitely recommend taking his green tour, as it is fascinating how this house runs off the grid. Do yourself a favor and get beau jo's pizza, so delicious! St. Mary's glacier is not far from the house and is an easy hike with beautiful scenery. I also recommend driving up Mt. Evan's, the weather was a bit crazy but it was so amazing! Can't wait to come back to Colorado, or perhaps even move there :)

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING HOME

5 of 5
A group of about a dozen more than comfortably stayed at the Invincible Lodge in mid-May. As in the title, this home is absolutely stunning. From the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room with the more-than-vaulted ceilings, to the chef's kitchen, to the fireplaces, entertainment center, radiant heat, and hot tub - this place has it all. Easy for us to get into and around Idaho Springs, and into Denver one night. We hope to be back.
