Ahhh, relaxation

5 of 5
We had a great time in this cabin. The photos had set our expectations very high which typically causes concern about being disappointed, but frankly the photos hit the mark on the property. This is a phenomenal cabin with plenty of amenities, a great view, and central to most activities in either the mountains or the foothills. We spent an afternoon fly fishing in Breckenridge (1 hr 15 mins away, Mountain Anglers is highly recommended for a great guide), a morning hiking Maxwell Falls (10 mins away), a fun trip to Red Rock (25 mins away), a jaw dropping drive up to Echo Lake (45 mins away), and of course just hanging around the cabin. Regarding wildlife - we enjoyed the morning visits from the deer, the chipmunks and birds (Hint: we discovered on our last day that if you let the bird feeders go empty, the birds will actually land on your hand and feed from your palm), and a late evening visit from a large and curious red fox. The hot tub was also *fantastic* and in perfect working condition. Note in the photos the very unique hanging bed. We really enjoyed hanging out in the bed and reading in the late evening. There is also a new gas grill and we used it extensively for steaks and burgers. Enjoying Beau Jo's carryout pizza on the cabin's deck was another recommended dinner option. The cabin appeared to have largely new appliances, all in working order. Our only "complaint" was the small coffee pot. But a 15 drive to Walgreens solved this, and if you rent please say a word of thanks to us in the morning for the donation :) I say this tongue in cheek as it really was a very small issue, everything else was outstanding. A last note - we have several kids from ages 5 to 17, and struggle every vacation to find something for everyone. No matter where we go there is usually a disappointed child, but not here. There was something for everyone and smiles all around.

We really enjoyed our week long vacation at Timothy and Vera's house. The view off the rear deck is spectacular overlooking 14,000 ft snow capped peaks. The views from other parts of the property as well as just walking around the property are also superb. The house was very clean with all amenities we needed to prepare meals. The host were most gracious and accommodating for all we needed also sharing lots of good information about the area. The proximity to hiking trails, Boulder, and the mountains cannot be beat. It is so quiet there and lots of stars all around. We would highly recommend staying at this house and certainly would consider returning for another visit.
