Amazing Stay

5 of 5
We had an amazing time at Tihsreed. The apt. was perfect just perfect. Enjoyed the loft and nook. We had a great time exploring all the trails on the property- watching deer and seeing elk. Hiking was great. Cripple Creek is right around the corner with lots of fun things to do. You can make great family memories here. Thank you Don and Toni for you hospitality, you are just super.

What a perfect weekend! The spot is gorgeous, the lodge was huge yet cozy, clean and had everything we could have possibly needed, and Toni and Don were exceptionally helpful from the moment we made the reservation through our weekend stay. We loved it and hope to be back! Thank you!

Everything advertised only BETTER!!!!!

No need to hesitate or second guess yourself, if you want a secluded location, this is the place to stay, BOOK IT NOW; you will not be disappointed!!!! The photos and listing information do not do this cabin justice. It is newly remodeled, fresh and clean! Everything is provided for you except your personal toiletries and food. You can prepare most meals with the kitchen essentials that are provided. We were pleasantly surprised to find that everything was even better than presented on the website. In our first hour at the cabin, we were greeted by an impressive double rainbow. That evening and the next morning deer surrounded the cabin. We witnessed several deer in rut, locking their antlers. The hot tub was wonderful to relax in morning and evening. An evening fire in the fireplace added to the ambiance. The pool table offered entertainment each evening and the Wi-Fi enabled three teenagers to survive the week without cell service! During our stay we visited the Colorado Springs Zoo, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, the Royal Gorge, Pikes Peak, did a little fishing at 11 Mile Reservoir and took a scenic road trip to Buena Vista and Breckenridge. We would recommend all of the above, with the exception of the cliff dwellings, as it was an overpriced tourist stop. Although the drive time to these places sounds like a lot, it did not feel like it because of all of the beautiful scenery and wildlife along the way. Arrive early enough so that your first trip up the driveway is in the daylight; it is a dirt road up a mountain with several turns and some steep inclines. We did not have any problems in our car but it would have been a little intimidating the first time in the dark. The owners make you feel at ease, are easy to get a hold of and respond quickly to your inquiries.
