GREAT RENTAL!

5 of 5
Wow, wow, wow! This house, decor and views are beautiful. The home was well equipped, maintained and stocked. It exceeded all expectations. 5 bedrooms with bedding for couples (3 with mountain views), office, 3.5 baths, 3 fireplaces, 2 large decks and several patios. Kitchen had everything needed. Appliances are high end. Loved the washer and dryer. House is located within 1 hour of many attractions in all directions: Garden of The Gods, Air Force Academy Chapel, Pikes Peak, River Rafting, Mine Tours, Continental Divide, and many parks. We enjoyed great weather and several sunsets from the porches. We saw lots of deer right from the house, and elk, a mountain lion, birds and prairie dogs along the dirt road up to the house. Cell (Verizon, Sprint & ATT) and wireless reception at the house were good. Dishwasher stopped working on our second day. Maintenance attempted to fix the next day, but could not, so we spent the majority of the week hand washing and drying cookware and dish ware for 8 people - bummer. Notes: No hair dryer, the house phone rings several times each evening with solicitation calls, house accommodates 10 but dining table only seats 6 comfortably / 8 tightly and only had 8 bath towels and minimal wash cloths & hand towels, and 4 wheel drive is recommended.

EXCELLENT STAY

5 of 5
My wife and I stayed at this cabin on our honeymoon. We drove up mid-evening, and we immediately fell in love with the remote location. Driving up to the cabin in 4-5 inches of snow was an incredible feeling. We enjoyed the two days we stayed there immensely! The lower level bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The views were stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub! I will be coming back and will recommend this property to anyone interested.

A GREAT PLACE WITH A SPECTACULAR VIEW!!!

Overall we were really impressed with this house! There is about a 15 minute drive to the house from Florissant, but the dirt roads are very well maintained. We enjoyed the wildlife that we would see on the drive. The house is in a very good location, and there are lots of things to do. There was an issue with the "on demand" hot water heater. I was the first to shower out of our 7 guests, and there's nothing worse than a nice hot shower turning freezing cold! I called the property owner at 7:30 in the morning, and he vowed to send someone out that day. He did as he promised, and called me with a report that night. He told me that the water heater was made to operate 1 item in the house at a time, and that they determined the unit was a little too small for the size of the house. He said for me to make sure no one was using water anywhere in the house while someone was in the shower. It still didn't help. We figured out to turn the shower on, then shut it off while we soaped. As long as you only turned it on to rinse, it would stay warm. It was inconvenient, but it worked. I would suggest for the home owner to get a better hot water heater because overall this was an amazing house. If that was fixed, we would definitely come back. I do have one other suggestion to the owners that you should purchase some mixing bowls that can also go in the microwave and a whisk. We stopped by Walmart and picked some up in Woodland Park for ourselves. We also wished we could've had access to the lower level of the house. I cannot reiterate enough how awesome this house is. We absolutely loved the view of Pikes Peak, and we spent a lot of time on the back patio. The house has really nice furnishings, and we loved having the board games to play. We also enjoyed taking strolls on the 35 acres. All in all, with a few changes, this is an excellent house!
