Tranquil Holiday

5 of 5
The Stone Creek Pond House was the perfect home for our family to enjoy a tranquil Christmas Holiday. The home is cozy yet a little roomier than what we perceived from the photos. Beautiful views of the valley and mountains from each window which were made even more spectacular by the surprising white Christmas morning (Driveway and roadways were plowed). We enjoyed a magical sleigh ride in the National Forest with Rapp Corral - highly recommended! And of course enjoyed skiing at the nearby mountain resort, know locally as "Purg". The home was very clean, nicely decorated and well equipped with everything we needed. Shannon, the home owner, was very friendly and responsive. We highly recommend this home for anyone's next Durango getaway unless of course we are back staying there again. Next time it will be summer so we can enjoy the pond. Thanks Shannon! Ponderosa Pines Getaway

Had a great time recently visiting family in Durango. Candace's place was clean, cute and just perfect as was the banana bread! Thanks Candace. Had everything we needed for two including privacy if you want a place away from all the hustle and bustle! The only problem was the bed. Not a lot of comfort/support especially for two people. We discussed this with Candace and she has since informed me she's purchased a mattress topper until she can replace bed next year. Perhaps a sleep number or other kind with more support and wearability would be perfect and a good investment. The weather was perfect and we got to do some kayaking and checked out some of the local restaurants. Check out Seasons meat and cheese tray. Yummy! There's no a/c in the cottage for those like me from Texas who need it. But it was okay with the window and extra floor fan Candace provided. The weather was cool at night and felt great! Thanks again for everything Candace! Linda & Tom from Texas

Superb place to get away from it all!!!!

I could go on and on about how much we enjoyed staying in this Durango home last summer! As Harley riders from Texas, this property doesn't get any better! You are in the heart of fantastic rides and can come back to soak in the hot tub in beautiful weather. The home feels miles away from it all, but was still close enough to everything you wanted to do. The privacy of the property is a plus, as is the tennis courts and plenty of space for horseshoes. The owners are very hands-on without being intrusive and are so wonderful to share this piece of heaven with others! Trust me, you won't be disappointed! We're already planning our next trip!!
