I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into this house, the listing didn't do it justice. The hardwood floors, original doors and hardware, and the wood trim work were gorgeous! The beds were very comfortable with wonderful linens. I felt very much at home! My daughter and son-in-law visited and commented that they felt like they were visiting me in my own home. I fixed dinner for us one night, moving around the kitchen as if it were familiar finding everything I needed. My dog and I took many walks through the neighborhood, and she quickly walked as if she owned it. The neighbors and other dogs were friendly. My daughter is going to be watching real estate in the neighborhood to possibly make their home there. We were convenient to downtown and Old Colorado City for those times we ate out. Phantom Canyon Brewery, Edelweiss, Over Easy with amazing Bloody Mary's, Lucha Cantina, Jose Muldoon's, Jake and Telleys, and Paravicinis are all worth your effort! I also picked up bread, a ham and cheese croissant, and pastries from LaBaguette that were to die for. The German Bakery Wimberger's is also worth your while. To work all of this off, my dog and I enjoyed hikes in Cheyenne Canyon Park and Red Rock Canyon. Catherine was a dear to work with and quick to respond to inquiries. In the middle of my trip I had someone turn in front of me and ended up having a lot added to my plate! I was glad I could relax at the end of the day at "home". Hopefully it will work for me to stay when I return to pick up my car. I would recommend this property to anyone.
