Totally Amazing Place!

5 of 5
I travel for work all the time. Since I am on the road so much, my standards for places to stay is much higher then the average person. I had a few days between conventions, so I decided to spend a few days in the Buena Vista Area. This cabin came up, and fit the dates I needed. The cabin was totally amazing. It is in a rural neighborhood, right on top of a hill. There are other houses around, but nothing close. It feels secluded and cozy. It is perched on the edge of a hill, overlooking a beautiful valley. Inside was clean and comfy. The sitting room was a perfect place for me to sit and work. A lot of places in the mountains dont have internet. This had WIFI that worked well the entire time. The kitchen had all the equipment needed to do all your own cooking. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and had stunning views. The beds are memory foam, so I slept great every night. I used the wood stove to heat the cabin, while I was there. However, the house is usually heated by propane, and it keeps the entire place very comfortable all night. It was decorated very nicely. Some places can be over the top, and not feel like home. This had a warm cozy feel to it. The best part of all was the owners. Matt was very responsive, answered every question I txted, and went way over and above his call of duty. In fact, I accidentally left a few minor things on the front porch, while I was locking up, and he offered to send the items back to me. I will totally be back. I enjoyed this place so much, that I will bring friends and family when I go next. And I won't be staying here when it fits between conventions. Next time, I will be making a dedicated trip. It was that nice.

Great relaxing weekend with lots to do!

5 of 5
Went with friends and kids for a 3 day getaway. We took long walks and the scenery all around is amazing! We spent a day in Salida getting sunburn and playing in the river in our bare feet in February! The next day the kids were sledding down the hills outside the house with the incredible sleds provided by the owners. The kids loved that Oscar, the friendly neighbor dog played along too. The beds are comfy, the place is warm, the views from the queen bed in the loft every morning are incredible! You won't regret staying here! Owners are awesome to deal with too!

Returning again and again!

5 of 5
For the 3rd year in a row we will be returning to this home! The owners are great to work with and the caretakers are wonderful! Plenty of everything from beds to kitchenware to towels. Our parents are in their 80s so not having steps to climb is a big plus. At night the gang loves to play games and the dinning room table is large enough to seat everyone. The home has a very secluded feel but yet your only minutes from town. In the morning our group loves to sit outside and watch the sun bring life to the mountains. The patio is too small for our large group but we solved that problem by bringing a outdoor rug and lawn chairs which seem to be the most popular seating area! We have rented with VRBO for over 7 years and this home is BY FAR our most favorite!
