Boy were we surprised at just how great this house is! We've stayed at a number of rentals and had a certain level of expectation of what we'd be getting. I can honestly say that the pictures do not do this home justice. This is an absolutely beautifully cared-for and appointed home right in the heart of the historic district, across from Daylight Donuts (which was fun to watch from the porch each morning as folks lined up for breakfast).
The kitchen is fabulous! I loved having all the utensils I needed to make meals for the family--knives, corkscrew, whisk, spatulas, pots and pans and pizza trays! We loved it! Did I mention the two options for coffee makers? Anyway, really surprised at how great the appliances are--especially the super quiet dishwasher. We had to lean over to hear if it was even on.
The location is right on Main Street so there is the hustle and bustle of being in the heart of the action. As I mentioned, we loved sitting on the porch and watching the world go by. You can see the mountains from the living room where we sat in front of the easy-to-start gas fireplace and watched the weather change.
The bedrooms are SO nice--including high quality sheets which, frankly, are nicer than the ones we have at home! The two bedrooms upstairs each have their own bathroom, so it was perfect for us. Downstairs (first floor/basement) was a perfect "kids den" complete with full bath and entertainment room. The sleeping room included bunk beds--one with an upper only, one with an upper and lower--the lower bunk being full sized. Then, there was a full-sized bed in between the bunks. PLENTY of room for kids to have fun and a great hang out area.
The front yard has the most gorgeous flowers. As my husband was sitting on the porch one morning, a small red fox crossed the yard! The backyard and common area is a beautiful, serene place as well. We did not use the hot tub or spend much time in the back, though.
The location is amazing--perfect for walking to nearby restaurants and "Ready, Paint, Fire" where my kids loved painting/glazing ceramics. We were two blocks from the gondola which we rode a couple of times. The grocery store (larger City Market) was also just two+ blocks away and offered a great produce section.
The biking/walking trail is just a block or so away as well, so we enjoyed morning runs. I cannot say enough about this property and Brad who was quick to respond.
Thank you so much!
We hope to be back soon!
