Family Vacation at Grand View Lodge

5 of 5
Overall the house was great for our large family, plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. The best thing about the house was that it was very close to the bus stop. You can enjoy most of Breckenridge by bus and not actually need a car. Our group did have 3 cars but rarely used them except for grocery shopping. Make sure you take bags provided by Invited Home to the grocery store as they charge you 10 cents each bag if the store has to provide them. If you have a large group you might want to sign up for the discount card at City Market as it will save you a lot of money in the long run plus has fuel perks. Kids had a ball skiing, sitting in hot tub, sledding, ice skating, playing cards by the fireplace, watching movies on the big screen TV downstairs and dining out at some great restaurants in town. If you have small children I would suggest picking up at the grocery some paper or plastic plates, cups bowls, spoons as this house only has Papa Bear size breakable dishes. Would stay at this house again if we come back with the same group.

"Unforgettable one-of-a-kind mountain getaway!”

5 of 5
This lodge is situated in the most breath-taking setting! It combines a luxury resort-like feel with the coziness of a home. The grounds were immaculate, the rooms were impeccably decorated, with 5-star amenities, and ski-in/ski-out access to Breckinridge mountain. The lodge is also a stones throw away from a beautiful Nordic center for cross country skiing and a 5-minute drive from downtown Breckinridge. Our party of 23 guests had ample space and privacy while thoroughly enjoying the large common spaces, which allowed us to comfortably all be together for meals and evening festivities! The fireplaces and hot tub made the lodge the perfect setting to enjoy après ski! And having high end appliances, including the 6 burner gas stove, in the full kitchen truly paid off as breakfasts "at home" were critical for our daily skiing. The lodge was so beautiful, I was torn between wanting to stay in and enjoy it, and spending my days out on the mountain. It is a place I hope to return again and again, as it exceeded our expectations on all accounts, and gave us many unforgettable memories

Excellent Home Base

5 of 5
Fifteen of us, mostly ski and ride instructors from a northeast resort spent a great week at the Hacienda. The location is terrific, a short walk to the ski trail and a ski back right to the hot tub. The house was perfect - a great dining room setup and gathering places on each floor for separate groups to get together if needed. You will find the Hacienda kitchen small but well equipped. The extra space is in the dining area and that served us quite well. Lots of fireplaces, great views, a terrific hot tub and even a dumbwaiter to haul heavy suitcases from the entrance to the third floor. Very close to the bus stop. We did not have any cars. Add a great week of snow, and you have all the ingredients to a perfect vacation.
