Ditto and Details to add to the previous reviews

5 of 5
We are in complete agreement with all of the reviews from previous visitors. Allow me to write about the details that make this, by comparison, the most enjoyable and valuable of all of the 5 previous places where we have stayed in SMA. Those details include: Blackout shades that encourage late morning slumbers. Adequate closet and drawer space for two. Spacious bathroom and large shower with hot water. (let it run for awhile to get to the hottest water) lndoor/outdoor living with the doors open between the house and courtyard. Cleanliness- the maid comes three times a week to clean the clean and do laundry if you need it. The bed is sumptuous with a duvet that is perfect in its weight. One can lie in bed and enjoy the view of the morning light in the courtyard. Lavender soap; quiet when dogs are barking outside; 24 hour gatekeeper; comfortable furniture ( no ubiquitous woven chairs --actually upholstered and cushioned; candles galore for ambiance. Louenging is great after the days of walking the cobbled steets and elevations of the city. Benefits of the location other than mentioned in previous reviews are the proximity to a premier taco stand around the corner; institutio Allende We plan to return and highly recommend this as a smart and enjoyable choice in San Miguel de Allende.

Brilliant vacation for our group

5 of 5
My wife and I recently returned to Hacienda Las Trancas for the third time. Each visit, our groups have rented the entire hacienda for a week, so the experience has been somewhere between a resort and a rental property. I have tried to describe the place and experience to others, but there are no adequate words. For friends who have recently been there with us, there are also no adequate words, but now they understand. We go with people who are like minded – if you're looking for a glitzy 5-star resort with smooth, shiny surfaces, this is not your place. It's 450 years old and full of texture and character. If you prefer authenticity and soul mixed with creativity and care, then it can be as special as you want it to be. It's casual elegance is nice and comfortable – rooms, grounds, food, everything. The staff are real people who you want to take home with you. The somewhat remote location inspires relaxation, but there's also plenty to do – when you include day trips into the must-see cities of Dolores Hidalgo, San Miguel and Guanajuato, the days fly by. Our group of 20 arrived as friends and acquaintances. A week later, we left as family. The hacienda is the kind of place where that can happen. Since returning, we simply laugh and hug one another and try to tell others to trust us.

Central, Stunning, Clean, Safe

5 of 5
I was blown away when I first walked into to this conveniently located house. It is a work of art both in the architecture as well as the interior design and decorating. The accommodations are clean and well done. The courtyard is open to the sky and one of the most memorable things for me was waking up to the sound of sweet little birds flying down to drink for the beautiful courtyard fountain. The housekeeper comes every other day or so and keeps things in order but she is discreet and quiet. There is internet access that worked really well considering this is Mexico. I actually had a much better connection than I was expecting. The rooftop decks give an excellent view of the city and some of the quirkiness of a Mexican neighborhood. There is a cool theater room that is unlike any room I've ever seen! Its tented and cozy and an experience just to be in. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. I felt very welcome, comfortable and safe. I will definitely return and highly recommend this property.
