Perfect group retreat!

5 of 5
After making a few wrong turns we finally found the quiet, fairly secluded Guiones Beach club and the stunning Paloma Azul. The place completely exceeded expectations! Each room had its own private bath and A/C, fan and beautiful high cathedral ceilings. The outdoor combination living "room" and kitchen were a treat to have as a communal area for games, yoga, breakfast, lunch, and general lounging. The set up was perfect for our group of ladies wanting some privacy and relaxation and possibly often times operating different schedules. The beach is a short walk down a private path making it easy to come and go as you please. The walk into "town" is a bit longer by road but a beautiful stroll on the beach gives you access to all the various access points to restaurants, shops, etc. Being on the southern end of Nosara made it feel more private yet accessible - a fantastic combination. Nosara is quite clearly a special place and the secret (if there was one) is out. It appears that the lots surrounding Paloma Azul are for sale, so the feeling of being tucked away may indeed change in years to come. We loved the staff, especially Bernando and Elena, the chef. They were professional and always available for all of our requests without ever feeling intrusive. We wanted to take them with us :) Lulu the dog was so sweet and would greet us coming "home" on our walks up from the beach. Truly a wonderful retreat.

Serendipia Costa Rica Home

5 of 5
With all the modern conveniences and more than you could ask for- this property is truly a home! The downstairs has a layout which allows for privacy and seclusion if booked as a group. The upstairs houses a unique master suite where everything is open (no doors on room, shower, bath etc.) and inviting. Air conditioning made the world of difference as there are different thermostats in each room for comfort. The pool and balcony over look a 180* view of the ocean and beaches with spectacular sunset views. The beds are firm and comfortable. The garden and pool staff came daily and the concierge was professional, detail oriented and informative. The owner was in constant contact with me and answered all my questions promptly. We went to the Envision Festival during our stay and found it to be the perfect retreat that we needed. We will be contacting Howard to stay here again if and when we return to Costa Rica.

The perfect Jaco Stay

5 of 5
I must say, i was initially apprehensive of booking this wonderful place. The owners Don and Denise were/are super helpful that, as a New Yorker i was hesitant (I mean we are just are not used to people who are both nice and extremely helpful). After my booking Both Don and Denise constantly reached out to suggest activities, places to visit and anything helpful that they thought we ought to know, they really do go above and beyond to ensure your comfort. Upon arriving, i instantly fell at home, the place is well furnished and stocked (i mean FULLY stocked) with linens and towels, to run out of them would mean you change linen twice a day or something. The 3 bedroom condo is very spacious, THAT you do not see from the pictures. We had a group of 7 with some over night crashers (had some friends who were at the best western down the street), one of the nights we all ended up crashing and we did not feel one bit cluttered. Security, maintenance workers and cleaners were all friendly and helpful (The whole city of Jaco is like that) but, these staffers went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable(they also know what bars to go on any given night which was a plus). We had a BBQ on our last night there, and the security on duty did an amazing job setting up the place for us (cleaning the grill before and after) setting up the propane gas, trash can etc. All in all, i would recommend this place again and plan to visit Jaco (I fell in love, the sunsets are beyond words) and will most definitely be staying at this place. I will say that the Crocs casino which is next door had their grand opening the night we got there and though there is some noise from the music, the levels weren't any bother at all. The Casino General Manager lives in this complex also and he does a good job not disturbing his neighbors tranquility. THANK YOU!!!!!! Don and Denise from my group, truly appreciate it.
