Wonderful House

4 of 5
We would recommend the Mot Mot House and Manuel Antonio Estates to anyone who loves nature! We loved the house, it is wide open, big rooms, big kitchen, and a great porch to watch all the animal friends that come to visit every day. Every afternoon we would sit on the great big porch and watch the monkeys, sloths, butterflies and beautiful birds. The pool is fantastic, a great place to cool off! Elis and Dorit were so helpful in every way, they took care of our every need and organized some great excursions for us. We loved Manuel Antonio, it has many Resturants, we loved The Waggon, So Ni Como, El Avion, Rafell's. Quepos has a fantastic Farmers Market on Friday nights and Saturday morning, great food and crafts. We also spent a day at Hot Springs Lodge, located north of Quepos and up a Moutain, they served us lunch, you can hike to the Hot Springs and swim in a beautiful waterfall, do not miss this! Would go back to the Mot Mot House again for sure.

Make sure the clubhouse is open when you book here

4 of 5
We decided on this house after having stayed at the JW Hacienda Pinilla Marriott property, one of my favorite hotels in all of Costa Rica. The house was furnished and styled just like the JW and is beautiful. It is also "oversized" so an NBA player would be comfortable in the furniture and showers. We used the BBQ outside. There were a lot of bird droppings on the outdoor patio table and chairs (perfect perch), so we just used the pool then came inside. We were concerned about a bees nest growing next to a door and the owners had someone come within minutes to remove it and clean up leaves/bugs from the pool (hey, its the tropics). Guests used the bikes for a morning ride. The house is located in a residential development, but many of the lots are either not sold or not built upon. This means the house is a bit isolated, but we felt safe. The house is probably better for people who need a quiet vacation. Like anything in Hacienda Pinilla, it is about 20-ish minutes to a grocery store/market, so you have to plan ahead. My group wanted fresh tortillas and bread for breakfast, so whoever got up first drove to buy them. We played music and games in the evenings and enjoyed the pool and outdoor lighting. The only real problem we had, was that we had splurged on this house in order to take advantage of its proximity to the beach and the nice clubhouse facilities for group activities...AND the owner failed to tell us the clubhouse was closed until AFTER we checked in and AFTER we said we were on our way to the clubhouse. The house was advertised as having access to the clubhouse and beach 5 minutes away, but it didn't have either. The owners arranged to get us into Langosta Beach Club - a good 30+ minute drive away. It was pretty frustrating having paid top of our budget for a house with beach access, then to find it didn't have beach access. The owners offered NO refund or discount for the huge inconvenience this caused us - traveling with a 6 month old on a tight eat-sleep-diaper schedule doesn't leave enough time for a scream-free drive across town for a beach club. We had been counting on the beach access advertised with the house 5 minutes away instead of Langosta Beach (about 30-35 minutes away I think). Anyway, buyer beware. Maybe you'll have a clubhouse and beach, or maybe you won't.

Great experience of a lifetime!

5 of 5
We had a wonderful stay at the property and found it to have all of the comforts of our own home! Day 1 we had an amazing massage complete with 3 monkeys above us in the trees. Day 2 we explored the beautiful MA park 5 minutes from the home and then came back to literally hundreds of squirrel monkeys visiting us in the trees and on the deck of the property(they saw us eating a banana!). The air worked perfectly in the bedrooms and home was very clean and comfortable. It was nice to have our beds made and the home tidy when we returned each day. The downstairs is completely separate so this was perfect for my 20 year olds to have their privacy- if you have babies this may not be as suitable. Dorit was great at advising us where to eat and so we took her advise and had some fabulous Costa Rican meals. I also recommend the catamaran tour with music, lunch, and snorkeling. Jose's Crocodile adventure was so fun and he was hilarious! Zip lining (15) is also a "must". Perfect stay and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Thank you Dorit for everything!!! We will be back!
