Guests arriving at 18 Degrees North on July 15,2014

5 of 5
Our entire experience at 18 Degrees North was better than we could imagine. The owners Wes and Teresa were wonderful to deal with. They answered all of our questions and concerns. They own a fantastic rental. The house is beautiful and as comfortable as home. We had four adults in the house and were very satisfied with the space. The amenities in the home are great and very clean and well maintained. The pool, the view and even the hammocks are amazing. The pictures on the web site are accurate only it is far better than a photo. Ernesto is friendly, helpful and always ready to be of assistance. With his help we chose to experience some fantastic adventures such as snorkeling, seeing sea life and other sea treasures, visiting nearby islands, visiting Mayan ruins and fishing for and eating fish and lobster freshly caught by Ernesto and cooked by Samantha. Every activity we chose was great! We highly recommend this rental property to anyone thinking about a vacation. I have given the name 18 Degrees North to many of our friends and family that are considering a visit to Belize. We say go and enjoy. It is better than you can imagine!

Great Place to Stay in Manuel Antonio!

5 of 5
My family--two adults and two teen girls--stayed at Pete's Place for week in June. It was our favorite place of our three week trip. Though the house sits just off the main road, we did not find road noise to be an issue at all. It was easy walking distance to stores, restaurants, and the bus--just a block or two--unlike another place we stayed where "easy walking distance" meant a 20 to 30 minute walk on a steep winding dirt road. You definitely do not need a car here--we did fine with the bus and occasional taxi (taxi stand 1 block away). When you enter the gate it feels like you are in another world. The vegetation is lush and the two decks provide an ocean and mountain view and have hammocks and chairs. The house itself is a little older, but it is very spacious and comfortable, complete with washer/dryer and everything you need to cook. AC and wifi worked great. The absolute best thing about Pete's Place is the huge private pool. It's a short walk through the jungle down some stairs to a beautiful pool set back in the jungle. We saw more wildlife here than on our guided walk in the Curi Canchi Reserve in Monteverde. When getting out of the pool on our first day, I looked up and saw a sloth in the tree right by the pool. He stayed there for most of the week. One day a huge family of squirrel monkeys (about 20 including moms with babies) came passing through. Another day we were visited by white-faced monkeys and there are birds galore. You can even turn on the lights and swim at night. Pete is wonderful--available to answer questions and help out when needed, but gives you plenty of privacy. We loved our stay at Pete's Place and would highly recommend Pete's Place to others. It is certainly a gem in the Manuel Antonio area.

Absolutely perfect!!

5 of 5
First of all let me say that I have been a travel consultant for 25 years and this was the best vacation that i have ever had...We all wish we were still there! It was so hard to leave this wonderful place. From beginning to end! The owners are terrific, Iris answered all my questions and gave me all the help that i needed as this was a "family destination wedding trip". We got married on the beach which was 2 minute walk from the villa on a beautiful monday morning with all of our children in attendance. The pictures cannot do the villa justice. My husband and I took the bedroom/bathroom in the back of the house which has it's own entrance so we had our privacy. But the main house was open and inviting and we never felt crowded. Hanging out and playing cards by the pool after our nightly bbq was so relaxing! The pool was a god send and we spent most afternoons relaxing with a cold drink in our hand. The beach is 3 miles long and mostly deserted, again perfect, the villa is very secure in a gated community about 1 hr from liberia airport. With a store around the corner and a few restaurants and some of the sweetest people in the world. The staff was top notch, everything was so clean and organized and Manfred (the property manager) is always there if you need him. If you are looking for a fun and relaxing place to stay then do yourself a favor and email Iris, it will be the best decision you ever make.
