Arrival to the resort was coordinated and welcoming. The accomodations were terrific, very comfortable and nicely appointed. The pictures did not do the resort justice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff was phenomenal, truly above compare. The pools were cleaned daily, the men were very meticulous and thorough. The grounds were beautiful, clean and pleasing.
We ate at very interesting restaurants all over the island and did our research to choose wisely, we were pleased with the local flair and interesting options. We rented golf carts and it was an adventure as the road condition is very poor, the alternative is to take very expensive water taxis to San Pedro but neither is ideal. We took 3 excursions and had a fantastic guide, Ricky, who is the best of the best! The property is located perfectly to take advantage of the southern and the northern activities and restaurants. Volleyball, Mayan ruins fishing and snorkeling were the family favorite activities.
Food was expensive, we were prepared for this but it was very expensive! The showers are not powerful, only a trickle if others in the unit are showering at the same time. The food at the resort is not good which is a shame as it forced us to leave the resort at lunch and dinner. Breakfast at the sister resort next door is terrific and a must.
I would recommend staying here, but bring snacks and your wallet. Enjoy!
