AMAZING, RELAXING !!!

5 of 5
Myself along with 13 ladies went down to costa rica for a Bach/babe vacation. Where to even start it was AMAZING!!! The staff were amazing Fernando his wife and daughter were like family to us. The food was prepared by the family and was just delish. We had monkey's come to the house everyday which really made us feel like we were in the jungle. The beach is about a 3 min walk through the trees (which was cool) with our own entrance. Beautiful Beautiful sunsets. Fernando organized our excursions which made it simple and stress free. For any younger folk wanting to go there are great bars in town with live music. It was also a great place to relax all of the ladies loved the experience and we would 100% recommend this place to a family/couple/group of friends.

Beautiful house, great for seeing monkeys

4 of 5
The house was beautiful, and was a great location for seeing monkeys and a sloth right there from the balcony. The view from the house is absolutely gorgeous. The rooms were nice, some definitely more so than others, though. And expect bugs inside the house and ants in the kitchen, as you might expect when living in the rainforest. It wasn't bad, just plan on it and keep most of your food in the ref ridge. Alberto (the property manager) was very nice and helpful, booked a tour for us and even took us to the farmer's market in Quepos for fresh fish and produce. Monica our housekeeper was wonderful and she came every day to clean the kitchen and do laundry. She even showed us how to make starfruit juice! My only disappointment was that the house was not very walkable to the beaches or park entrance like it says on the website and some reviews. My family and I are in excellent shape, but to walk along the main road that leads to the beaches or park was NOT safe at all because there is no space for walking and you have to literally dodge cars. And it took WAY longer than it claims on the website. You can walk to some shops, cafes and a little grocery store (which is expensive even by US standards, so beware), but not to any of the main sites or beaches in the area. Sure, you can take the local bus or a taxi, but we chose this house based on walking distance as the description/website promises ... and was disappointed to find it wasn't walkable like we thought. Besides that everything else was accurate as mentioned and we had a great time. We loved Playa Biesanz (the local tico beach) but again don't plan on walking, at least not on the way back as it's quite challenging and long. And Manuel Antonio Beach inside the park is gorgeous. One tip: hire a guide for the park as you might not see any animals otherwise. Also, eat at Cafe Agua Azul, it was amazing! And very close to the street where the house is located. The people there were so nice and the food was delicious.

My response to Julio.

5 of 5
Hello Julio, I'm sorry you did not enjoy your vacation. Costa Rica is not for everyone. It takes a sense of adventure to travel where the infrastructure and ways of life are different than you are used to and it sounds like that type of travel is not for you. Tamarindo is an authentic beach town and it has the most restaurants, shops, services, etc. of the Northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica, but it retains its original charm as a surfing mecca and is very casual and informal in it's way of life. As far as the amenities, we replace the towels and sheets 2-3 times a year as needed and always buy multiple sets at a time. There are 6 good sets of sheets in the condo, so I'm not sure why your sheets were not in good shape. I'm sorry about that. We also provide a fully stocked kitchen with both plastic and glass drinking glasses, as well as wine glasses and coffee mugs. There are both ceramic and plastic dishes too. These are also replaced every season and as needed. I was very upset by your review as I have the highest standards for my condo. I immediately talked to my management company at length about making sure the housekeepers report any missing, broken, or old items ASAP, so that they can be replaced as necessary. (They are supposed to do this anyway, but I have asked my management company to check themselves more often as well, so things don't get missed.) I have also my management company to communicate with the housekeepers to make sure the sheets and towels are in great shape, and to throw away any old ones they find. I wish you had asked for what you needed when you were there. As you saw, when you asked, they replaced the toaster promptly for you. My management company will fix or replace anything that is broken or missing when you let them know of the problem. They checked into everything after I forwarded them your review and they are making sure everything is in good shape and replaced if necessary and that nothing is missing. I hope you were at least able to get some enjoyment out of the beautiful scenery spectacular sunsets, the peaceful sounds of the waves, and the wonderful Costa Rican people. Pura Vida, Jane
