PARADISE FOUND AT SIERPE DEL PACIFICO

5 of 5
My family of five had the adventure of a life time at Sierpe del Pacifico (our three children range in ages from 8-17). The jungle home is stunning, clean and placed right in the middle of the jungle--toucans, parrots, capuchin and howler monkeys are neighbours. We loved the solitude and natural splendour of the property. Paradise is simply sitting on the porch, overlooking the jungle and the Sierpe River, watching scarlet macaws fly by. We took boat trips to Corcovado Park, Cano Island, Violin Island and went horseback riding with Rosita (which was so much fun)! Caesar was a top notch guide in Corcovado--very informative and he tracked a tapir for us. Felipe was a friendly, kind and knowledgeable driver on our way to and from San Jose. In fact, everyone we dealt with regarding our vacation was friendly, knowledgable and eager to help. The experience best suits those who enjoy nature and wilderness, don't mind hot and humid weather and can handle a 5-10 minute up hill climb to the house from the dock. Make sure to stock up on groceries well before Sierpe as we found the town grocery store lacking. Being submersed in the true jungle, I learned more on the Oso Peninsula about life than in my 8 years of university. I've been home for a while; yet, I still miss the howler monkeys and their morning calls. Thank you Cassidy, it was the most amazing vacation and I'd love to return.

THIS IS A BUCKET LIST ITEM!

5 of 5
I researched tree houses because it has been my wife's childhood dream to live in a treehouse now completed in a grand style! I chose this because even though a 4 wheel drive is needed to access the property, once there it is an easy walk & the privacy is beyond private - only saw someone when I had a couple questions , otherwise one could live like Tarzan and Jane - which we did! It was awesome- just as the view of the jungle, monkeys, tropical birds & floria. Although living in the "open" canopy (no walls) may seem primitive, having electricity for a fridge, fans, wifi, hot running water makes this place seem like a paradise jungle canopy well work checking it off your bucket list even if it was never on ( but it should be) Also visit the coco farm which Blondie's help we had an awesome informative tour. We are in our 60's and enjoyed every second / wishing we could have spend more time and discovered this sooner when put children were still home as this is a must do experience.

A FANTASTIC HOUSE ON A PERFECT BEACH

5 of 5
This was a very nice house on the perfect beach. The house was very comfortable (and affordable) for three couples, and had excellent lounging areas inside and out. The pictures accurately portray the house. There were a few minor maintenance issues, and the property owner, and on-site manager were very proactive in taking care of them. Overall the customer service was very good, and Don was very helpful and informative when it came to my many questions. We really appreciated all the advice he gave us regarding our stay in Panama. The house is literally steps away form the most beautiful beach, with NO people around. The water is warm, the surf is moderate, and there is essentially no rip tide or undertow. It was really fantastic, and Don provided boogie boards to enjoy the surf with. We also really appreciated the cell phone Don provided for local calls. The city of Las Lajas is about five miles away, and provides good dining and groceries. San Felix is just a few miles further and has anything else you might need. Be aware, Playa Las Lajas is about a five hour drive from Panama City and an hour drive from David. We drove from Panama City and actually enjoyed the drive. From our beach house we took a couple day tours to Boquete and Boca Chica, both really good experiences. In Boca Chica we snorkeled with Agua Adventures and in Boquete we zip-lined at Tree Trek and had a coffee tour with Habla Ya Spanish Schools. All of these adventures were great and well worth the money. We also visited the Catholic mission in San Felix, which was an interesting and worthwhile activity. Make sure you stop by ChiriCream ice creamery and Naturalamante (pizza restaurant) in Las Lajas. These are two first class outfits with excellent food and really nice owners. Between day trips we had days to just lounge around at our beautiful Playa Las Lajas house. I think these days were even better than the day trips! Don, thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful house. I will definitely recommend it to friends, and I know I can't get back soon enough.
