"Very hard to leave this place! The view, the pool, the wildlife!"

5 of 5
Jaw dropping view! We were visited by a sloth the first day, monkeys the next and toucans after that! The hosts Darryl and Donna were incredibly helpful especially when our scheduled flight in was cancelled and we had to improvise our way to Dominical. There are lots of outdoor activities nearby and more beaches to visit than we had days in the area. But the place is so comfortable that we really could have just stayed put and been quite happy. The house was spotlessly clean and obviously well maintained. The garden and pool are very well cared for. While close to the newly paved main road, you feel completely secluded and can not see anything but trees , beaches and ocean. Watching the sunrise from the main bedroom every morning was amazing. Grocery shopping is only minutes away in Uvita. A 4x4 is not necessary to access this house but useful to have to visit the nearby wildlife sanctuary and other nearby locations. Highly recommended

Paradise in Bocas!

5 of 5
From the moment we arrived it was obvious Villa Parasio was the perfect place for us. The suite in the main house is tastefully decorated, fully equipped and extremely clean and well maintained. The covered veranda, with comfortable furnishings, is the perfect place to relax while enjoying views of the pool, beach and turquoise water beyond. We enjoyed the beautiful and refreshing pool every day and evening! The grounds and gardens are maintained as an exquisite estate and the beautiful beach is literally just steps away. Steve gave us a thorough introduction to the Villa, answered all of our questions and made some great recommendations. Throughout our stay Angie made sure we had everything we needed. Villa Paraiso is a family affair with their three sons (Connor, Wes and Riese) involved in making their guests' stay a memorable one and we enjoyed learning about their Bocas experience. We enjoyed the cooking of Chef Wes for several breakfasts and a wonderful dinner all served on the veranda. They are there if you need them but respect your privacy otherwise. The Villa is in a perfect and very private location. All of the activities and nightlife of Bocas Town are just a short drive away. It serves as a great base to explore Isla Colon and all of the surrounding Islands. Villa Paraiso and the Cottrell family made our trip a great one! We highly recommend!

Perfect group retreat!

5 of 5
After making a few wrong turns we finally found the quiet, fairly secluded Guiones Beach club and the stunning Paloma Azul. The place completely exceeded expectations! Each room had its own private bath and A/C, fan and beautiful high cathedral ceilings. The outdoor combination living "room" and kitchen were a treat to have as a communal area for games, yoga, breakfast, lunch, and general lounging. The set up was perfect for our group of ladies wanting some privacy and relaxation and possibly often times operating different schedules. The beach is a short walk down a private path making it easy to come and go as you please. The walk into "town" is a bit longer by road but a beautiful stroll on the beach gives you access to all the various access points to restaurants, shops, etc. Being on the southern end of Nosara made it feel more private yet accessible - a fantastic combination. Nosara is quite clearly a special place and the secret (if there was one) is out. It appears that the lots surrounding Paloma Azul are for sale, so the feeling of being tucked away may indeed change in years to come. We loved the staff, especially Bernando and Elena, the chef. They were professional and always available for all of our requests without ever feeling intrusive. We wanted to take them with us :) Lulu the dog was so sweet and would greet us coming "home" on our walks up from the beach. Truly a wonderful retreat.
