Will be back!

5 of 5
The place is not in the village but close enough to walk into town. The local bus went by three or four times a day. It goes from Montezuma to Cabo Blanco National Park. So after shopping we caught it to come back with the groceries. You do not need a car at all. There also are plenty of taxis. The beach in front of the house is often deserted and has great spots to swim. It seemed very safe to us since there are rock formations to both sides of it. At two hundred meters there is a great surf spot popular with locals and foreigners. It is an easy left wave but only during high tide. For serious surfing we organized a ride to Mal Pais but the crowds over there were not our thing. We preferred the laid back feeling of Cabuya. There are two sea kayaks for rent at farm. We took them for a paddle from the house to the cemetery island where we saw plenty of fish while snorkeling and of course some strange graves. We also took a great day tour to Isla Tortuga from Montezuma where the snorkeling is even better. Coming back in the evening to cook and relax and listen to the waves made our stay unforgettable.

Quiet Paradise

5 of 5
Never had I imaged that my first trip to Costa Rica would be so perfect! The morning views were astounding and peaceful with an occasional visit by a toucan, hummingbird, or butterfly. Not only were the mornings memorable but each night I was serenaded by the sweet lullabies of the Costa Rican wildlife. During the day, my son enjoyed swinging and cannon balling into the pool, which happens to be surrounded by paradise. And when swimming was no longer of interest, he played on the ping pong table, watched a movie, or played board games, which were all provided by the farm. The facilities were extremely clean and well-maintained, but most importantly, the staff were extremely professional and helpful. They organized a horseback tour of the farm and provided great suggestions and travel accommodations for other activities like zip lining, water rafting, surfing, and volcano tours. I could not have asked for a more perfect getaway and it was all because of the amazing staff.
