Absolutely Amazing!

5 of 5
Such a stunning home! I was visiting Costa Rica with my cousins and friends and we were a large group looking for an exclusive and luxurious vacation spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful beaches. This home was PERFECT! From the moment we stepped inside, we were beyond excited to call this our home for a few days. The villa is huge and is even more amazing in person. It was so relaxing to have our very own pool and hot tub, right in front of the beach! Playa Flamingo is also a very quiet, and non-crowded beach, so it felt like we had endless space to ourselves and lots of privacy. This home is also located in a small gated community with security guards at the entrance, making it extremely safe. The villa contact was very accommodating and helpful through the whole booking process. They were always very prompt in their responses, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay at the home was perfect. They also arranged for us to have our own private chef who cooked delicious meals for us throughout the day. Overall I would highly recommend staying here!

An anniversary celebration of the ages!!

4 of 5
Vista Oceana was an absolutely wonderful venue for the family to assemble in celebration of our 50th weeding anniversary. Unfortunately for us, one of our sons and his spouse were unable to come do to the expected arrival of their first child in January 2015, It's a Girl!, a circumstance that was not foreseen when we made our reservations in 2013. And if they had joined us the house would not have been able to comfortably accommodate all 15 of us. But for 13, it was almost perfect. The setting was marvelous with spectacular sunsets almost every night. The bird life and the monkeys provided experiences that will live on in our memories for years to come. And the location of the infinity pool assured frequent, and much appreciated use. Practically all present engaged in multiple activities and reported high levels of satisfaction with all arrangements. The sunset cruise on a private sailboat was a wonderful and unexpected touch as was the dinner prepared by a chef in the home on Christmas eve. We did experience a brief power outage and the water was unavailable for about 12 hours. But I guess those kind of unanticipated events are not all that uncommon in Manuel Antonio. Other than the Christmas Eve meal, we ate several memorable dinners at first class local restaurants. It is doubtful that we shall ever try to revisit the area for any similar event again, the logistics for a large family with a wide variety of ages and involvements (schools, jobs, etc.) being what they are, but in no way does this indicate the least disappointment with the experience on this most memorable occasion. Thankfully, Dennis Hunter

5 Star Luxury in Playa Flamingo, Costa Rica

5 of 5
As we passed through the gate into The Palms, our anticipation grew. When Jorge greeted us and opened the front door of the villa, we saw a wall of windows and the magnificent white sand and blue water of Playa Flamingo. We knew then that Elyne had accurately described this paradise. First the actual unit - granite countertops, first rate appliances (Viking, Subzero) and a completely outfitted kitchen. Multiple flat screen TV's, beautiful wood cabinetry, tasteful furnishings, and marble baths (3!). We felt like privileged guests in a "magazine-beautiful" home. When we stepped onto the stone patio we faced a large infinity pool and beyond that the clean, wide, white sand beach. The pool was very beautiful and the drink/food service was comparable to staying at a top resort. The drinks were expertly prepared by the friendly and engaging pool bartender. The food was prepared to order and delivered as you wished: either poolside, on your patio, or in the home. During our seven day stay we were treated as owners - greeted with smiles, accommodated in every way, and made to feel welcome. Fresh towels were laid out on our patio chairs every morning, and if you wanted a fresh towel at any point you only needed to take one from the pool area - they were constantly refreshed and available. The on-site concierge expertly recommended a day trip with private driver to a zip-lining excursion, along with a water slide (terrifying - only for the very, very brave), a hot-mud treatment, volcanic hot springs and a gourmet 5 course lunch. On the ride back to The Palms our driver detoured to take us to a monkey habitat and even arranged for us to hold a rescued "howler" monkey - a true highlight of our trip. All-in-all we enjoyed a perfect seven days at The Palms - we highly recommend Elyne's Villa -- you will not be disappointed!
