Beautiful property, awesome manager, great value

5 of 5
I won't repeat all the great thing others have said. I will simply say that I argee with them that this is a fantastic place and a great value. A few specifics: Indira is awesome. Very helpful with in making this a stress free rental. Atmosphere: quite, mostly families and older travelers. No big party crowds The unit: The pictures are accurate and not hiding anything. They cannot do justice to the view. The unit is clean quiet, well stocked with more than basic items, soap, shampoo, starter food, beer, soda really too many items mention. Anything not already in the apt can be bought easily from the nearby store. The units are secure but there is not a safe (didn't feel like one was needed) Internet is DSL and reasonably fast. There are Tv and DVD players but no radios The property: Gated and access restricted, nice pool and small grass area. Chairs were never a problem and can be dragged out onto the beach. There is a community gas grill which can be used for the cost of propane, 10 Barbados dollars There is a simple cardio gym with two elipticals and two bikes and one treadmill. There is also a weight room with multiple machines and free weights The Beach: Moderate waves, soft sand, do not need water shoes. Some days there is a lot of seaweed, other days none at all. I live at a beach and swim in the ocean often. I'd say that the waves here are usually at least moderate and small kids under the age of 10 will probably need an adult in the water with them. There is an unguarded pool that kids can use if the the waves are too big. The unit had a body board and a floating mat. I saw some small digging tools and a bucket for little kids and a beach umbrella in one of the closets. Right next to the unit is a hotel with a beach bar. You can walk over and buy drinks or grab some food if you want. Need for a car. Probably a good idea but not mandatory. You can hire a taxi easily or use the very low cost bus system. The property is an easy walk to Dover beach and St. Lawrance gap (via the Beach).

Amazing view, convenient location!

Great location for relaxed beach vacation or the hustle and bustle of downtown! Grocery stores are a short walk or bus ride. Pool deck is a great place for lounging and soaking in the turquoise water. The owner and groundskeeper of the property are easily accessible if you need anything. Sandyport beach area is just a 5 minute walk. Take the jitney bus towards downtown to the fish fry for lunch or early dinner. Definitely do not need a car. Jitney bus will take you anywhere for $1.50 per trip. We loved Caprice and hope to return again in the future!

Perfection in Paradise

5 of 5
We spent a wonderfully relaxing 2 weeks at Ragged Edge in October / Nov last year. If you are looking for a private, luxurious property in paradise then look no further! The pictures could never convey the beauty of this property or the stunning view from almost every room. The outside space is amazing and a perfect spot to spend lazy afternoons in the sun, cocktails in hand. The turquoise waters and ever-changing vistas simply take your breath away. The snorkelling is great straight off the back of the property. The house is huge and the owners have thought of everything with your comfort in mind. The master bedroom is simply stunning and I particularly loved what I called the ‘ocean room’ where many a morning was spent with a cup of tea whilst watching the sun come up. There are many DVDs to choose from, lots of games and things to do. You are just a short drive away from Nassau and Paradise Island and near to grocery stores, etc. Some recommendations: Atlantis is most definitely worth a visit, it is an amazing hotel lots of fun, superb aquarium and we can definitely suggest the steaks at Olives within the hotel. They were superb but expect to pay a premium price for it. A must is afternoon tea at the ‘One and Only Ocean Club’, great value and of course a visit would not be complete without the ‘Casino Royale’ Cocktail. Lovely meal also at Compass Point and whilst over that part of the island spend the day at Love Beach, it’s absolutely beautiful which has a rustic but perfectly formed little bar serving beer, cocktails and snacks. We spent 2 wonderful days here. Also a day out at Blue Lagoon island interacting with the dolphins – my 6 year old daughter was beyond excited and you also get a lazy afternoon on the lagoon. We have travelled all over the world and this is certainly one of our favourite spots. Ragged Edge is perfect in every way and Nassau / Paradise Island are truly stunning. If you have a busy life this is the perfect place to de-stress and unwind. We will be back!
