Beautiful home, beautiful island, beautiful people

5 of 5
My new bride and I decided on Whel-Appointed for our Honeymoon, and boy did we make the right decision. The house was spacious and beautiful! Downstairs there are 2 bedrooms, but we only had admittance to one of them since the 2 of us came alone. If you bring friends along, there is a 2nd King Suite downstairs, and also a bed upstairs hiding behind the TV. Beach chairs, umbrellas, and snorkeling gear are all provided at the house in bins on the porch for your use. This was one of the most fantastic things about this rental! We used these items every day we stayed on Eleuthera, and we're so grateful David and Michele provided them. After we got our bearings on the island, we felt comfortable and right at home. Everyone is nice on the island and ready to help you. Make note of the automatic 15% gratuity at restaurants! It took us a few days to realize we didn't need to leave a tip. Be sure to buy island merchandise and not US imports whenever you can. Everything is marked way up price-wise because of the cost to get it onto the island. The beaches were gorgeous, we'd never seen water so BLUE and CLEAR in our lives. The house is on the Atlantic side of the island, but the water was even CLEARER on the Caribbean side. All-in-all, this was the best week of our lives, and we can't wait to come back. We have a lot of adventures we want to take while we're young, and this was absolutely the most amazing start to our adventures.

Paradise Found!! Never ending beauty!!!

5 of 5
From the moment we arrived we knew that we had landed in paradise. The beauty of St. Lucia can be seen from the plane. Clavie, the driver welcomed us with a warm St. Lucian welcome as soon as we exited the airport. He was very gracious and kind and provided great information about the island as he drove us to the villa. We instantly felt welcome and at home. After a 45 minute drive through the various villages and beautiful countryside of the island we pulled on to the property and the grand entrance which consists of a stone wall and beautiful wooden gate we knew that we had arrived in paradise. My first impression was what magic and beauty lies beyond these doors. I soon discovered that it was beyond my expectations, the photos although beautiful dont compare to the majestic beauty experienced in real life. The gardens invite you to enter into another world, one of relaxation and natural beauty of the island. A historic retreat and majestic island fortress of your own. We were greeted by the villa staff upon our arrival. We met Cynthia, the housekeeper and Terry the gardener who welcomed us with big smiles and open arms. Cynthia proceeded to show us around the villa. I recall stepping onto the large deck that spans the length of the living room and seeing the jaw dropping view of the majestic pitons. The villa which is constructed of large stone walls and mahogany doors fit perfectly in the surroundings with its plantation style construction. It offered the beauty and sophistication of a 5 star resort but the feel of the villa was warm and welcoming and felt like a home away from home. The open layout allowed us to open many of the shuttered door panels connecting the indoors and outdoors seamlessly. Our bedroom which was tastefully decorated had its own tiled deck that opened to the Caribbean Sea and the awe inspiring view of the Pitons. The additional bedroom suites each had its own private deck overlooking the beautifully maintained gardens. We were welcomed to our vacation with a welcome basket filled with a variety of fresh local fruits, a bottle of wine and a bottle of St. Lucian rum that I am still trying to find online with no luck. Cynthia had prepared an amazing creole home cooked meal which consisted of curry chicken with rice, salad and soup. The pool offers a tranquil beauty of its own, private and surrounded by a lush variety of tropical plants and flowers, Highly recommended and we cannot wait to go back next year!

Stay in paradise!

5 of 5
We loved Ocean Daze! It is a beautiful house with wonderful views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Sound. The water is gentle as safe for kids to swim in. We did not see another person on the beach all week. Miranda's support in the trip makes everything go extremely easily. We highly recommend using Jackie to cook several meals and deliver them to the house - delicious! We are definitely coming back!
