A wonderful Negril Christmas

5 of 5
Please read and confirm your review for Property #150015 below. Best Wishes, Reviews Team Our family of six adults gathered at the Villa for a week over the Christmas holidays. The location simply could not be beat. We spent a good part of every day swimming and snorkeling in the beautiful cove and along the rocky coastline all the way up past 3 Dives. Underwater was like being in a fish tank and the caves and rocks were full of things to explore. Early mornings were best before the wind kicked up. The ladder into the water made it easy to get in and out but my sons still insisted on jumping from the rocks occasionally! The plaza area was fabulous for daily sunbathing and evening cocktails for the sunset and stargazing. We ate dinner every night on the spacious veranda as well as catching a nap there occasionally. Although the interior furnishings are a bit worn the house was clean and equipped for our stay and once there, you realize that it fits well the Negril casual lifestyle. Besides I spent very little time inside the house. Beds were comfortable, there was plenty of water for showers, and towels and supplies. There is some noise and late parties in the neighborhood but only once did it get a bit out of hand (at 3 am) and Rodney (night security) took care of it for us. We cooked most of our meals at home with just a few trips to the Icon grocery or L&M convenience store down the street. We made a trip to the Negril Fish Market for lobster and snapper and Fabi helped to grill the fish outside. It is also a short walk to many of the local food spots, like Samsura (very nice but a bit pricey) or 3 Dives (do not miss the jerk chicken with bammy!), or DBar or Erica’s, and it is only a nice 15-25 minute walk to Rock House or to experience the craziness of Rick’s. Our rental car fell though so Fabi set us up with the greatest cab driver (Bobby) who ended up almost serving as our personal tour guide. He took us on trips to the market, YS Falls, Blue River, Beach, and even joined us for dinner at a few great local eateries (Cloggy’s in Blue River was amazing fish). Billy, the owner, was responsive and helpful in every way. We had a wonderful vacation and truly hated to leave.

Exceeded our expectations!

5 of 5
We stayed for 5 incredible nights. The villa is bigger than it looks and completely sun filled. The kitchen is top notch, the owner's photo only shows part of it. The balcony is wonderful, we spent as much time as possible out there. The private Master Bedroom balcony was an unexpected bonus. The baths are very clean and well appointed. The beds, linens and towels are hotel quality. There is a giant Master closet for all your clothes and shoes. Since it's on the top floor the ceilings are vaulted, adding volume to each room. We really loved the unit as well as the pool. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. Rio Mar was a good choice for proximity to Fajardo, ElYunque and San Juan.

Home Away From Home

5 of 5
This was our third Thankgsgiving vacation renting from Yves and we couldn't have been happier. Our group has grown from 5 people the first year to 13 this year and the spacious home, with its beautifully furnished and meticulously clean 5 bedrooms and 5 baths still gave us plenty of space to relax and stretch out. The pictures, while accurate, do not do justice to the beauty and privacy of the grounds. The backyard with its large pool and jacuzzi, gorgeous landscaping, and multiple seating options created an oasis that was hard to leave. The location is also prime, being equidistant from the beach, main hotel, tennis and shooting complex. While there are many beautiful villas at Casa de Campo, none of them come with the jewel of them all- Nena. She, Vidal, and Paula took loving care of us, Nena's fabulous cooking had us all gaining weight, and nothing could beat pitchers of pina colada served with fresh fruit poolside every afternoon. A private masseuse came by every day to give us massages and Vidal even picked some avocodos off the trees so that Nena could make us some guacomole.Spending time at this villa has become our family's new Thangsgiving tradition, and we looking forward to returning next year. As my son said- each year just gets better and better. Thank you Yves for a wonderful stay. The quality and service cannot be beat!!!!!
