A home in the middle of paradise

5 of 5
We certainly had a great stay at Balcones del Atlántico, this is a beautiful, secure and peaceful property, filled with a splendid tropical landscapes. Taking a nice stroll, you’ll find yourself enjoying the pleasant tropical breeze and discovering the many tempting pools in the area, that will make think about taking a splash along the way. Las Terrenas is a gorgeous town with beautiful palm beaches, framed with mountains and tasty places, where you will enjoy the vast amount of different food offerings in this painteresque escaped. To discover all this beauty and fascinating town, there was no better place to stay at Emma’s (owner) apartment in Balcones. The apartment is strategically positioned at the far end of the largest pool, so you have a beautiful view of the pool and sizable part of the property from its open and large terrace. It is a perfect place to hang out or recover from a day at the beach or riding four wheels, along with the many amenities found in the apartment. It has TV with a good selection of channel, free WiFi connection, air-conditioned rooms and lounge areas, a full equipped kitchen, two dining tables and a place to relax on the terrace, two large air-conditioned bedrooms (one king bed and two queen beds) with their respective bathrooms and a small bedroom (twin bed) with bathroom. This is like been home in the middle of paradise, highly recommend it. Emma is a great tenant, very helpful and friendly person.

And now for something completely different...

5 of 5
We have been visiting the islands of the Caribbean for several years now and Montserrat was certainly different! The effects of the volcano on the southern half of the island are amazing to see and we spent memorable days exploring the island and visiting the Volcano Observatory, the abandoned Air Studios and the outskirts of Plymouth. Lime Tree House was an excellent base from which to do this. We visited for 11 days in early October and the house was very much as advertised, with 2 large bedrooms and bathrooms at opposite ends of the house, with a splendid lounge and kitchen with all mod cons in-between. The balcony soon became our breakfast room and with the excellent wifi, my office for the hour of work a day that I couldn't avoid! We were given excellent information by Jon, the owner, when we booked and before we travelled and we were met at the airport by his manager, Pickett, who took us to collect our local driving licence on the way from the airport so that we could take advantage of the owner's car (which is also available to rent) straight away. The people of Montserrat are incredibly friendly and we soon got used to waving to everyone we saw and not having to lock everything up all the time - crime on the island is virtually non-existent. We used the pool a lot and the memories of watching the sun set from it will stay with us for a long time - especially the evening when an agouti appeared in the garden in front of us and stayed there long enough to have his photo taken! The island has a good choice of restaurants and our favourites were Olveston House, Ziggy's, Tina's, and Ben & Gemma's new beach bar at Isles Bay. The island also has several (usually deserted!) beaches and the swimming and snorkelling was fun. We also went trekking through the rainforest on one of the several trails that are available in the central hills. Following the destruction of Plymouth by the volcano, there is still re-building going on in the north of the island to create a new capital around Little Bay, but Montserrat is the Caribbean before tourism arrived and if you want a holiday of tranquillity and a stunning example of the power of nature, then it is well worth a visit and Lime Tree House is a great place to stay.

We found our vacation home away from home.....

5 of 5
We are delighted to write a review about our stay at your Mango Walk home in Montego Bay, Jamaica. We were very impressed with the way the house is kept..immaculate yet you feel it's a home you live in and you are comfortable to occupy the space. , We loved its proximity to all the action yet secluded enough to allow us our quiet and restful times. How could we not mention the service provided by Everton, the driver who shuttled us from the airport and to the various Jamaican attractions outside of Montego Bay, especially the trip to Negril to watch that beautiful sunset? My family..., all 5 of us are definitely returning and we will be recommending Mango Walk to our friends who are green with envy when we show off our pictures and recount the wonderful time we spent there. Not to be long-winded, but oh my goodness, the food, the friendliness of the neighbours, all added to that feeling like you were home away from home. Thanks for this wonderful experience at a price that was more than reasonable when you see the value received and the fact that it's shared with a group..
