Visited Nassau with my family of four adults, one teenager and an 11 year old and could not have been more pleased with Paula's Townhome at Deleport Point. We all agreed that it was the perfect place for us. The location is far enough away from Paradise Island that you never feel a crowd around, yet in 35 minutes we were able to go to Atlantis for a full day. Great local restaurants are within a short drive/medium walk from the Townhome. We rented the property manager, Barbara's, van prior to arrival and saved considerably over a similar vehicle from a traditional rental company. (Barbara was incredibly helpful and full of island insights and information too)!
With the island Jitney stop a few steps from our front door we wouldn't have had to have rented a car, but we are adventuresome and like to explore an island fully. If you have never driven on the "British side" this is the place to learn. Very friendly drivers and little traffic.
The lovely Townhome has everything you need. I won't list it all because that is already a part of the listing description...let's just say that everything that the listing claims is there, and operates or is as it should be.
Many previous renters have mentioned the view and it is spectacular...particularly at sundown which is great to enjoy from the spacious deck. I loved taking a coffee out in the morning and relaxing with the view into the day.
The kitchen allowed us to take breakfasts and some lunches at the house which saves considerable $$. Though we choose to eat out every night, we could have easily bbq'd or fixed a fine dinner in that kitchen.
The beds were all very comfortable and the AC kept all three levels of the home cool in the heat/humidity of July.
We really enjoyed snorkeling right off the back of the house. After a careful walk down the coral to the waters edge, swimming to the left about a hundred yards and out about 50 yards revealed a wonderful coral/sea fan garden loaded with fish, squid and even a few lobsters!
We took in the final weekend of the summer festival (Junkanoo) and would highly encourage anyone visiting in June or July next year to do the same.
All in all, were we to return to Nassau, none of my family would hesitate for a minute contacting Paula and renting Blue Reef Bahama again!
