Perfect!!

5 of 5
My significant other and I came to Victoria while vacationing on the northwest coast in early August. Victoria, BC was our third stop. We had traveled to Seattle for a few days, then took the ferry to Friday Harbor, San Juan Islands for a couple days, then took the ferry to Sidney, then a bus to Victoria. Needless, to say we were a bit tired from our travels by the time we reached our destination in Victoria. When we walked in, the apartment looked just like the pictures. It was spotless and refreshing. Perfect size for 2 people. We could store our luggage and move around the apartment with more than enough room. This may have been the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. I need to replicate it's comfort at home! I also really enjoyed having our own kitchen so that we could stop at the grocery store a few blocks away and have some easy home-cooked food for a meal if we didn't feel like eating out. Like previous reviews had stated, the location is about a 15 minute walk from the downtown area. We don't mind an easy walk so that was no problem at all. I suppose you could always take a cab, but we never did, and prefer to walk anyway. We also went for a run from the apartment, through downtown and to a park and back. It's really not far from all the action. Once we had arrived in town, Ryan was easy to contact and communicate with, which is always a plus. If we ever end up back in Victoria, I would definitely stay here again!!

Perfect base in the heart of Montreal

5 of 5
The flat is very nice and well located within the Montreal. I spent there two months in the winter, so I think I can tell you about all it pros and cons. The flat looks really like in the pictures, with the only exception: the sofa is now grey. The size of flat is perfect for one person or for a couple (or even for a couple with small children), I would not recommend it for 4 adults as it is the studio – meaning it is in fact one room and one bathroom. In what concerns the equipment, you will find there everything you need for a your stay: the kitchen is fully equipped (dishes, cooker, dishwasher, …), same for the bathroom (towels, hairdryer, and even small mirror for better make-up), and – something which I really appreciated – there is also washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. I had no trouble with hot water or heating even if the temperature outside were really low, so I imagine that it will work perfectly also in the summer. The wi-fi worked perfectly and it was fast. The flat is very quiet and calm, the windows give on the courtyard, so you never ever heard anything form the street. It is on the 17th floor and there are two lifts to get in the apartment. The flat is located near the Palais de Congres, e.g. in the heart of Old Montreal. The metro is across the street – so whenever you need to go, you are directly “on the line”. If you prefer to walk, it is 2 min walk is the cathedral; 5 min walk is the Old Port and the Place Jacques Cartier; 7 min walk is Place des Arts (all the summer festivals); 15 min walk is the main shopping street (Sainte Catherine Ouest). And, in fact, the entry to the metro is also the entry to the “underground city” – 30 km of streets and shopping malls built under the city. In what concerns Paige (the owner), I met her only once, at the end of my stay, and I must say that she is really nice and kind person. Before, we were communicating only by e-mails/text messages, she was answering very fast and to all my questions, and everything what we agreed worked exactly like it was agreed. If I ever had a trouble or question, she answered immediately, and this even when she was on the other side of country, in Vancouver. I am thinking about the cons of the flat, but I am really not able to find something. So I can only fully recommend the flat, it is nice and quiet, it is a perfect base for having a rest after the day in cosmopolite city of Montreal, and be sure that with Paige as landlord, your stay will be perfect.
