GREAT VALUE FOR A MONTREAL STAY

4 of 5
This studio apartment is exactly as shown and described in its listing. It is in a very good location for access to all of Montreal's attractions. The apartment was comfortable. Fortunately, the weather was almost ideal during our stay and although sunny, never got too hot. Without AC, it might get unbearably hot in the apartment, especially because the large window/door-to-patio faces east, getting full sun in the morning. As it was, the overhead fan and a nice breeze with the window open were enough to keep the place comfortable. The 38 steps up to the third floor might be a problem for some. It was OK for us as it helped to burn off some calories. The access corridors and stairs could really use some upgrading. The closest Montreal Metro station is a 10 minute walk down the steep hill of St. Laurent which is very tiring on the return trip. There is a public parking lot right next door which charges $10 from 6 to 6 - $20 for a full 24 hours (no in/out privilege). Lots of neighborhood places to eat, although we only tried Burger Royal (excellent). The general area felt safe. Street noises were not a problem even with the window open. No issues with the owner, nor with his partner who helped to carry stuff up to the apartment when checking us in. We would stay here again, but not if the forecast was for very hot weather.

I COULDN'T HAVE PICKED A BETTER VACATION RENTAL!

5 of 5
This walkout ground-floor suite, expertly overseen by Linda and Bruce, was all I expected from the pictures, and more..... On cool June evenings the electric fireplace gave out a cozy heat and the many windows brought the outside 'in' during the day. I loved reading in the cozy yard that is directy out the front door of the suite. This enclosed area is free of wind plus one can enjoy the many hanging flower baskets. The kitchen was outfitted for any cooking I wanted to do and the dining area, although I didn't need it, was full-sized. The Murphy Bed was very comfortable with drawers and cuboards at the side for my belongs, along with a big closet. The desk was great for my computer work and their WiFI worked without a hitch. The TV was conveniently located with the ability to watch it in bed or from the very comfortable European lounge chairs. The big bathroom and shower were also appreciated. The location is excellent: one block south and you're on Beach Drive, the main road along the coast of Victoria; just a few blocks North (then left on Fairfield Rd) and you are at a mall with an excellent grocery store and an adjacent gas station; and also, just minutes North is Oak Bay and its quaint village with coffee houses, cafes, restaurants and shopping. All in all a convenient place to stay for a week or month. I stayed a month!

BETTER THAN WE EVER DREAMED!!

5 of 5
Immaculate in every way. A real 'gem' of Ft.Langley! Such a warm welcome from our hosts. Ideal location for us. Close to the US border, quaint cafe's,winery, shopping, golf, old Ft. Langley. Spotlessly clean, spacious, amazingly comfortable beds, a beautiful terrace to enjoy morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Would highly recommend to friends & relatives. Can't wait to come back for a stay...next time longer.
