Amazing house, lovely hosts, great views.

5 of 5
Hi, I was with a group of five adults traveling from the Lake Tahoe area for the Quebec Master Winter World Games. Although our venue, Val Cartier, was a bit of a drive from this house we chose to stay here and we are grateful that we did. The house is well appointed, warm and lovely. The views are amazing. We never tired of watching the ice flow up and down the river and the setting is very private. My group loved it and I am now deemed the house finder. Hope I can live up to that in the future! The kitchen is well appointed and there are four separate bedrooms which worked really well for our particular group. It was easy to gather round the big screen tv and watch events together and really nice for the couple of people that were working too, as one took a living room chair, one took the upstairs office and one of us worked from the dining room table while one took the kitchen island. It was just so comfortable. We would come back here in a heart beat. It's a quick dash to Quebec downtown but we liked coming back to our own little piece of woods and views. Genette and David are lovely hosts. Super friendly, yet non-obtrusive, but there for help if needed......just the best. You won't regret renting this house.

Splendid Property! Splendid Stay!

5 of 5
For her 60th birthday my wife wanted to get away with the immediate family, myself and our three adult children, for a week of relaxation, playing games, reading books, walks, etc. This log home was perfect for that with plenty of room, with fireplaces everywhere, and with plenty of wood. The aspens were beyond peak but still very colorful. The views of the Canadian Rockies were beautiful from the decks, as was the drive to and from Canada Hwy 1A. We went to Banff one day, and to Lake Louise another; but for four wonderful days, we just rested and enjoyed this beautifully situated and wonderfully appointed home. The location and price made it a bit of a risk, but we weren't disappointed. Twas a memorable, wonderful family vacation.

We enjoyed this spacious, family home

4 of 5
For the Canada Day long weekend, we opted for the Seascape Retreat near Whitepoint Resort. The house is nice. It is spacious and well-maintained by the owners. It is also extremely private as there are no visible or audible neighbours, which makes for a pleasant, relaxing stay. We were two families sharing this home, which meant that there were two toddlers (18 months) running around. Thankfully, the owners have put up a gate to the downstairs portion of the home so we were able to relax knowing they wouldn't fall down a flight of stairs. As far as I know, there wasn't a highchair or playpen available (to be honest, I can't remember if I even asked as we always bring our own travel playpen and highchair with us). We never met the owners because we made other arrangements for picking up the keys but they were quick to respond to e-mails so that wasn't an issue for us. In terms of activities nearby, there is Whitepoint resort, which is a lot of fun for families. You can buy a day pass for $9 and it gives you access to all of the facilities and events going on. We also visited the quaint town of Liverpool, which is about a 10-15 minute drive away. There are a handful of cute shops and cafes and, of course, beautiful homes that will take your breath away. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking to "get away from it all" and breath in the crisp, ocean air.
